Mystic/Fortune teller.

His alpha bets spelled out "JVR BLOCKING TRADE."

The next morning his Cherios Spelled out "OOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Wow. For a guy that cries a river when he perceives people "picking on him" youre really have marbles to go after someone who isnt even criticising you

Thats a good point, but why would they take an injury prone guy that may or may not be a 30+ a year goal scorer for their best d-man?
- Jimmygrazz

He isn't their best d-man. Bogosian is.

They also could some help up front, and JVR has plenty of upside. I think a straight-up deal would be suffice.

Why would Winnipeg trade Enstrom? Has he mentioned not wanting to come back to Winnipeg? Are there difficulties in negotiations to extend? Is Winnipeg in financial trouble? What is thier motovation to trade him, other then he might be a UFA in a year? Winnipeg still has an entire year to resign him.
- RooNosHockey

Dude, he's been in trade rumors all over the place...

It was also just an idea. Jesus Christ.

The reason Eskin gave really doesn't make sense.....and who knows if there is fire where theres smoke....but for the life of me I can't see why you wouldn't trade for Nash.....Yes there are needs on D ...but this guy becomes a cornerstone for the franchise. He becomes the Flyers 2nd best player!!!!..As far as the contracts and Money....Hartnell and Timo are UFA's next year....thats close to 12 mil!!!! I like Jagr and JVR ....But I would much rather have Nash then those two this year...hands down.

I have 7.8 million reasons why.

Re-signing Carle would wise too in that scenario. A forward would need to be moved though to fit Parise under.

JvR , Bobo, plus (blank) for Nash is absurd. But could be interesting as part of a three way to get a d-man we need.

(Sorry if it's late. Just popped on and I don't feel like reading back over 500 posts).

Hey, most of my posts are opinion and are stated as such. This guy is stating facts and refusing to give up his source. If he really had a source he would at least say why its credible other then, "I believe him because he is family".

If Parise was indeed interested in the Flyers, one way to entice him would be to sign Suter, as they are very tight.

If the Flyers could move JVR for a package of picks, and moved on from Carle they could make it work cap wise.

I wasnt just saying you on this. Normally when you hear rumors its becuase there are problems resigning a guy, or he is on a team that is going no-where, or on a team that can't afford to resign him. I just dont see this being the issue with Enstrom.

With 1 more year left on his contract, are you sure about that??
- LordStanley88

Good point. That coupled with the fact that he is left handed and small don't make him a great fit here. Unfortunately, the players I am referring to are few and far between.

You never know who is available until you ask. There may be a guy that Homer is just going to ask a team about, and has nothing to do with contract issues or any other rumor out there. Maybe someone in St. Louis or Colorado...

I thought it was interesting and was passing it along.

I never said it was fact either, only that I trusted the person who told me...

Only problem is Suter doesn't want to play for a "Big East" team.

I don't buy that. It's a long shot, but wouldn't hurt to make a pitch to him.

I like your thought process but what are the chances they land the best two free agents? Then we're talking about dealing away players to free up some space. Not against it but it seems like a long shot. However anything is possible at this point.

It would if you passed up deals at the draft "hoping" to sign both Suter and Parise, but if they fall through it wouldnt hurt to try.

What I would like is to have that number 1 d-man in town before July 1. That way you can show Parise that the Flyers are the team you want to be on, now and in the future.

why wouldn't the Flyers be the team of the future with the young talent they have already? Also he's not exactly playing with a true number one now.

Odds are microscopic. Doesn't hurt to try. No one would argue in esentially replacing Carle and JVR with Parise and Suter wouldn't markedly make the Flyers a better team.

The way I see it with JVR 4.25 off the books, and Shelley given a 1 way ticket to Adirondack, that 5.3 in savings, figure with the cap going up, Flyers should be able to add the 8.7 million they would be taking on if Parise and Suter were in the 7 per year range.
