Well, the Flyers themselves called it a torn labrum on May 19.

...and this kind of stuff is why we have to deal with these stories.

Nashville might ask for both Schenn and Couts, but they wont get it. Lets just say JVR isn't in the deal. I could see Schenn, Voracek, Meszaros, 2 first for Weber and Radulov.

I think I really like that.

Even then it's not cut and dried. They could move JvR in a deal that had nothing to do with anything reported.
- Jsaquella

That is correct. I don't care who is right or wrong as long as Homer adds pieces that we need to become a better club.

JVR has hip issues. No labrum damage and no concensus on treatment. Decision on whether surgery is required expected this week.

Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger

JVR loves Philly, wants to stay, but knows trade is a possibility. He's not dragging his feet to block deal, he just wants to be healthy.
Silly season in full swing.

All we need now is Bob McK chiming in.

There certainly seems to be a disconnect with the Flyers and injuries. Between the team doctors, team management, and the players.

Never seem to be on the same page.

Why wouldn't your source have an agenda? Someone giving that information could have the agenda of trying to impress someone with "inside info".

You're trying to be cute here, but beleive me, this guy doesn't need to"impress".

It's embarrassing that he is being asked to comment on the matter...
- aightwebang17

I agree. And I can also say JVR has been pretty upfront about it all along.

If Nash gets traded to Philly I will be pissed. Talk about destroying your chance to resign quality young players in the future. Just say no to Nash.

It is ridiculous to report that JVR is holding up a trade by being or not dealing properly with injuries. Is that what the media in Philly has really stooped to? They should be ashamed of themselves (obviously not everyone).

JVR is going to be a stud next year. Now, if Voracek's contract can't be worked out (yes a 1 year is certain if needed- but I mean beyond that) he might be out of town in the future. The more I read about these absurd trade ideas the more I want Philly to stand pat with what they have. Maybe sign a Wideman, Garrison or other mid level D man.

As an aside, I like the idea of picking this guy: SLATER KOEKKOEK D 6'2 184 L

If he is still around. Koekkonan the Barbarian!

If they trade JVR and Read plus other stuff, I'll buy you lunch.

The problem when trash gets posted on the internet is that once a non-event happens, it is either forgotten or the poster changes their name.

No accountability for junk posted as fact.

Again, if it was trash, I wouldn't have brought it up in what was meant to be an intelligent discussion.

Yeah, Uncle Howard told me so it must be true.

And Howard never feels the need impress. He just wears that fur coat in June because everything else is at the cleaners.
