Thats what you have to offer when your a cap floor team who finished almost last for a decade with a short bus crippled goalie who is stealing money from the team.

If that isn't bad enough, I still think they are paying for Yashin.

If they cap is raised he probably can be moved. But how would a GM exlain trading for a below average 5mil per year player.
- sbroads24

He's not below average, he is also not really worth 5M. He's a good defenseman playing in a system that is not conducive to his skill set.

if staal does leave pitt then stoll is a guy i would like to see replace him

I traditionally dont like signing cup winning players because a) they are over priced and b) I think they might lose an edge after winning and going through the long season, but he has impressed me as a 3rd line center.

I want Jarret Stoll
- sbroads24

I really think he stays in LA win or lose. And i hope he does. But there is always gonna be a team to pay him more. He hasnt been stellar in the circle in this series. Getting beat left and right by rookie henrique.

Tallon did that with many players to put a product on the ice so he doesnt have to rush his drafted kids. Theyre still in a good spot salary wise.

who knows, maybe if garrison doesnt stay then they may like martin

Cap is going up. Paul Martin doesn't fit in the Pens' system (whatever that is). He was a very solid blueliner prior to his arrival. He wasn't below average prior to Pittsburgh. His contract is problematic, but he would still be a top two D-pairing for maybe five teams.

Even so, pretty sad, right? He hasn't played in the NHL for five years.

We outplayed them tonight. They just keep getting the bounces. Hence the Kings scoring on themselves.

Its still tought to move him. I remeber you saying how you wouldnt take on Vanek's contract, and he's a 30 goal scorer. It's not a move thats easy to make. Martin had a horrid season with a bad contract.

He was actually a good pick up for them, and then go figure, he catches the injury bug and doesn't really make any impact.

He was double digit minus there for a while so it shows you how scoring goals can cover some deficiencies up, he did improve but then having #87 back inflated a few other players numbers too.
