Mine is learning. Looks funny watching a 5'1 girl walking down the course with two sets of golf clubs on her shoulders. - VANTEL

So I was thinking about this today.....
2002 Draft- Florida traded their 1st overall pick to Columbus for the 3rd overall pick and the option to swap 1st round picks in 2003. THAT IS ALL... and this draft class was considered about the same as this year.
2003 Draft- The Florida Panthers trade the first pick (Marc-Andre Fleury) and 73rd pick (Daniel Carcillo) to the Pittsburgh Penguins for the third pick (Nathan Horton), the 55th pick (Stefan Meyer) and Mikael Samuelsson (low level prospect at the time)
This draft class was considered very strong even before it happened.. and later is considered probably the deepest draft of all time.
In most cases... when a team trades up it usually involves swapping 2nd round picks and then a mid level prospect.
Why Edmonton fans think the 1st overall pick this year would be for... Subban and 3rd overall. stome and 4th overall... gardiner, franson and 5th overall.
Does anyone else find that a bit odd? |

What I think is odd, is that no one got fired when they could have drafted Eric Staal and Rick Nash to build around. That's just crazy! Trading the first overall pick is not a wise idea. |

Nash = Horton... and ya Staal would have been real nice for them... but JBO was really good for them during his day their.
They still had 2 top 3 picks.. and didnt manage much with them. |

Just because they can afford it, doesn't mean they would be on board with it. That trade proposal is a joke. - Nucker101

I think Nash is better than Horton for the simple reason he plays with some passion, which was the knock on Horton. Centers, gotta build around centers not fast skating defensemen. They can come after you get you're offense in order. Staal would have been great for them yes. |

Poker IS a sport! A contact sport... I got punched out at the River Rock and got banned when I sucked out a straight flush on the river against the other guy's quad 7s. Took down a solid 3k+ pot to boot... |

Barry wrote in his newest blog that Jonathan Bernier should fetch Brett Connolly and one of the Lightnings first round picks.
Based off these delusional standards, what would Cory Schneider bring back? |

NYR have not traded for Alex Radulov's rights. In fact, I'm not convinced their level of interest in this player is very great at all.
