-Sign Zach Parise
-Move Bob and #20 to TB for #10, maybe Reinhart?
-Sign a vet backup, Marty Biron?
-Grab a few defensive grinders to add to our forward group, including a 4th line center

I made a conscious decision after the 2010 run to try and be more positive. The 2009-10 season drove me nuts, but simply sitting back and enjoying the games during the playoffs made it so much better.

I found that losses no longer depressed me and I enjoyed the wins as much as ever

Remember the 2008 postseason approach? We wanted to them make the playoffs. Then we wanted them to win a round and the rest was gravy... That's pretty much been my approach.

Yes, there have been annoying moments, but acting like the Flyers owe us something or are worthy of daily jabs and whining pejoratives reflects the character of the poster and not the team. The team's character is in their annual attempt to win the Stanley Cup. That's a team I can support - and have supported for 35+ years.

As to your approach, it rocks. Ood style.

I think the Phillies' 2008 World Series win shows us that fans who claimed things like, "I want one championship and then we can suck for years and not care," are full of it. Or suffer from bipolar disorder. They want their team to win - or whine if they don't. It would absolutely be the same here. Folks will act like "We've been behind you all the time" if/when the Flyers next win the Cup and then revert to this pattern of behavior when the team comes back to Earth.

I miss the 2005 - 2009 Hockeybuzz.
