The idea of no one having a gun because the law doesn't allow it is the scariest thing going.

Laws don't stop the criminals from carrying a gun.

The lack of understanding the power of a gun and the poper handling is what is at issue here.

A gun isn't a toy and should never be handled as such.

You did, a well deserved +1

Also, I agree with you, signing Jagr would be a good idea. Especially if the plan is to solve our defensive needs by trading from the forward talent.

And when Jagr is out with 40 groin strains, and a forward is traded off, all of a sudden the depth is compromised, and you have Phantoms throughout the lineup.

Signing Jagr makes little to no sense at all.

What if your neighbor commits a murder and hides the illegal gun in your car... Now your head is being chopped.

You may be the only person who agrees with me about Jagr. I already stated why I would like to move on earlier today (not that its right). I'm done with Jagermeister for the day.

He's available, at any rate.

On the heels of news the Nashville Predators are looking to move Alexander Radulov before he becomes a restricted free agent, CSNPhilly.com's John Boruk suggests the Philadelphia Flyers could benefit from trading for the enigmatic forward. Goodness knows, he wouldn't drain the Flyers of much in return.

"... Radulov would be considered a "buy" right now because there's so much talent and potential, and you wouldn't have to give up even a fraction of the farm to acquire him ... I believe he'll be constantly held accountable in the Flyers dressing room that has a strong mix of older veterans and a corps of young talented players. Pair him with Claude Giroux, and if he stays healthy, Radulov will easily score 70 points next season. Not to mention, he may single-handedly help the Flyers win a few more shootouts ..."

Radulov could presumably 'cost' a first-round pick or decent prospect -- at most. And the Flyers don't have a excess of salary cap room to work with, in terms of adding a pricier fish. Plus, Flyers GM Paul Holmgren has a history of making less conventional moves (see: Jaromir Jagr) in the offseason.

This was a powerful scene, after Scott accidentally killed himself with a gun.

True. Jagr is likely to play all 82 games, and be fit as a fiddle come playoff time.

Whats the deal with this Justin Schultz kid? Someone the Flyers should push hard for?

It's a young man's game. Team has enough injury prone players as it is, without signing a 41 year old man.

I won't get into the Jagr talk. I'm very interested in this Justin Schultz kid.

I hear he's got huge offensive upside, but I've never seen him play. I suppose my answer would be, "I can't say." Some call him a 'stud blueliner', but is that really an appropriate term for a prospect, especially one who's never played a single NHL game? Seems presumptuous to me.

He has until June 24th to sign with Anaheim. That looks like it wont happen. I wonder if the Flyers would be willing to trade for his rights.

it truly is hilarious, people are against signing Suter, a top pairing d-man in his prime, but are on board signing an injury prone old man.

I think Holmgren should sign Clarke, Barber, and Howe while he's at it.

In fact, Paul Holmgren GM/4th line winger. GID Homer!

I'm certain he's on Holmgren's radar. If I had to submit a prediction the Shultz thing will go to July 1.

Your overstating and dramatic comments are what people are against. No one is killing stvshdy for wanting to part with Jagr. He gave his point of view in a logical, realistic way.

I'll say this though, if they do sign Jagr, watch the team only win 9 or so games all year.....
