Kessel - Galchenuk (sp) - Lupul
Kulemin - Grabovski - MacA
Frattin - Colborne - Kadri
Brown - Steckel - Rosehill

Phaneuf - Gardiner
Franson - Liles
Schenn - Gunner

Reimer
Scrivens

If you'll notice....the only assumptions I'm making is somehow grabbing Galchenuk (sp)....and offloading existing players to open up spots for the kids.

Thoughts?

Bit of an improvement over this year's LEAFS i would say.

Bozak is better than colborne by a huge margin.
Galchenyuk, if we did draft, is super young and wouldnt thrive being a first line center in TO in his rookie season, thats asking a ton from a rookie. You want to ease him in, most likely his last year in the O, if not; bring him to camp and roll him into the Marlies to start.

i saw an article today that quoted oilers GM tambs (i think we all should call him "tambs" lol) that seemed to suggest burke might be after two of the top 5 picks

Fair enough re: Galchenyuk...

I also agree that Bozi is better than Joe 'now'. But he's also 5-6yrs older than him....and has also benefited from playing with Kessel + Lupul. Overall, I think Joe has the higher ceiling, and even though he regressed when he was sent down last year, I think the NHL game suits his style more (more predictable than the AHL).

He's basically almost already on the team...

I only wanted to allow myself 2 assumptions...even though both are already pretty far fetched...

If I had added Schultz and Galenchuk then half the roster players I listed couldn't be there because they'd probably be apart of the package to bring those guys in.

I'd say the 4th line is gritty. And the 3rd line has some grit too. I think Frattin & Kadri have the ability to mix it up when they want to.

But like I said, I doubt this will 'actually' happen. It's more likely we'll see Luongo in net next year, and a few hard nose veterans on the 3rd and 4th line.

Gardiner plus to Oilers for their 1st, almost guarranteeing that Shultz would sign in Edmonton as well....Leafs 1st plus Komi plus for Isles 1st, or Leafs 1st plus plus for Nash and Jackets 1st....
