your "plus" will have to be prettty significant on your Isles trade. because why would the Isles move down AND take back a horrible contract?

and why would the Jackets give up Nash for the pleasure of moving down 3 spots? unless Burke is offering his next 2 first rounders...

- DoubleDown

I was thinking cap floor with the Isles and the possibility that they want to draft a D instead of F....and Nash and his 7.8 for the next 7 yrs or so wants out

Nash may want out but he's not calling the shots. for Nash AND the second overall, you're looking at this year's first and second, next year's first plus a solid prospect like Gardiner. any other deal makes no sense from Columbus's POV.

We'll see how the Nash thing plays out...it will be interesting and only a small market of teams of HIS choosing that can afford that term and cap hit..plus Howson needs the $ to rebuild properly or just lower the team payroll since they're not packing in the seats

He trashes everyones comments saying we should build with the draft, that no player is available, that we should not trade our future away (which i agree), that we should not get bigger contracts but in reality we are NOT a rebuild team anymore. If we were a rebuild team, we wouldnt of got kessel. We wouldnt of signed tim connolly, we would of traded kulimen, mac, grabo for draft picks or prospects, etc etc. This is what separates us from rebuilding. We are a team that is rebuilding through trades, acquiring prospects and guys who can compete in the NHL, but at the same time.. remain competitive while acquiring youth.

How's that working out for ya? Under Burke you never were a "rebuilding team" you are a re-tooling team (constantly)! He STILL thinks he can duplicate what he did in Anaheim, stubborn to a fault.

UG has some good points about trying to do it through the draft, it just falls on deaf ears with Burke though. He's just so stubborn and won't listen to anyone else, he's doing it his way and everyone else can (frank) right off.

Yea, I know right!?....some girl came to my door a few months back and said "Those letters you get every month, asking for money....you need to pay those!"

To which I replied "Ill take a box of the chocolate, and one box of vanilla cookies please".

History of the Yakupov family

In 1875 Fail Yakupov father of three found Moscow life too demanding. He had saved enough money to send his Eldest son Sail to the shores of North America. His Eldest son Jail got mixed in with the Gangs of New York and spent alot of time in prison. To his luck his son Bail helped him of the big house. Bail went on to father a very hard working son Rail who signed on with the Burlingington Railroad. He was truely amazed at how much money one could make by driving spikes into the ground and with his succes put his son Nail into hockey. He became a huge star and made lots of money and was able to support his eldest sons Tail sex habits. Everyone lived happily ever after.
