i was extremely pleased with how the Jagr situation worked out this year..minor injuries aside.

his work ethic and leadership did surprise me, i admit. he was great for this team. but after reading his blog.. and seeing him hint about how he feels he should be used.. and his desire to remain in the rhythem of the game so his old legs dont hurt give me slight cause for concern.

i really would hate to see an unhappy/frustrated Jagr in the room next year. might be time to move on, imo

I agree to what your sayin...i think Jagr is at the age that i don't think he will rock the boat too much...he knows he's on the downside of his career...

And what if he does start to break down physically? You just give the time to the young guys, just like you want to anyway. If he is healthy, he is good enough to play top minutes. If he isnt, then he will likely get LTIR. You not losing anything if you show the players your willing to do what's popular with the team, even if it means taking a risk. I bet that's the kind of thing Weber and Suter wish they could say Nashville does.

My question is Why is Winnipeg trading Enstrom. Is it because he refuses to sign there? Or is it because they dont think they can afford him.

Cause really... if its because they can't afford him... I might be willing to take Big Buff off their payroll instead....

Was he unhappy/frustrated this year? It didn't show. And his comments were about this year. He's fully aware of what the realities are, personal preference aside.

Who knows. Could be one of those guys that once he's properly scouted, the league can shut him down... but I'm not going to bet the house on that...

He's a talented kid, no doubt. But, I wouldn't go as far as to say he's light years ahead of three letters. Jvr has had struggles, but I like his upside.

Let's not forget JvR was on pace for 40 goals before he got hurt.

If a guy only plays 1 game, and scores a goal in that one game. How many goals is he on pace for?
