I'd like to keep all 3. Maybe give Carter 2 years/2mil. If I HAD to choose.. man.. Carter definitely. Gionta brings it every shift while Bernier has taken a few off here and there, but Bernier I still think has more talent to play on any of the lines if need be. tough call. I hope we bring them back for a few more years. This playoff run has only made them stronger together and together, they can help us win games in future regular and postseasons.

I'd like him to stay, and just have 7 great dmen for when injuries hit.. but I doubt it.

If we can, there is no reason to not keep all 3 of the fourth line. They have been great, better than our top line in these playoffs. Poni is garbage. So soft for a guy with his size. Keep Salvador unless they want to give Urbom a shot. Bryce is better than Volchenkov, but we probably can't move A-train. Fayne should get around $2.5 million. Harrold as our 7th but he might get a better offer elsewhere. Don't need Sykora or Janssen.

If we lose Parise, what player of his determination and tenacity and heart do we have to replace him with? We don't have any super talented forwards in the system... especially on the wing. Elias is aging, as is Zubrus, Clarkson is Clarkson and Kovy is Kovy. MAYBE Tedenby, but I doubt it. We need Parise for the future more than we need Suter. Merrill and Gelinas have top pairing potential, along with Larsson. Those 3 could legit be our top 3 in 5 years... and be a good top 3. I don't have that much confidence in any of our young forwards. I think Zajac, Henrique and Josefson play their roles well at center, but none of them will be a Kopitar, a Datsyuk, a Sedin, a Staal, a Richards. Henrique and Josefson may develop into good players, but they need good/better talents on their wings.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Devils get an Eastern Conference Champs banner for making it to the SCFs.

What about PA Parenteau? Hes an UFA. Maybe Lou will go after him If Parise chooses to go elsewhere. Suter would be amazing but its highly unlikely. I would love to keep the 4th line but i doubt it will happen.. I do think the team needs a big center like a Paul Gaustad. We dont have much size up the middle. Zajac, JJ, Henrique, Gionta (If resigned) aren't really the biggest guys out there. And the team is terrible on draws. Who knows if JJ can stay healthy? I think Stoll from LA is a UFA... . Hopefully Tedenby can bounce back and stay with the team.

I forgot about Parenteau. eh. he's 29. played 2 full seasons.. 6 foot, 193lbs. Is he fast? I don't even remember right now. He was decent but only 20 goals and 18 goals in the 2 seasons. 9th round pick.. idk if he'd be a difference maker. Not a bad option, but idk.
