have not heard anyone really "slamming" the Devils; they have been competitive in all 3 games, and the biggest lament has been that their top players have not been scoring (nor has anyone else). They also have not gotten a break (the first goal last night was shaky), but on the other hand they failed to get much pressure on the first period 5-on-3, when a goal could have set the tone and maybe changed the course of the whole series....bottom line, they have simply not been good enough, but no one is "slamming" this team when there are 28 other teams sitting at home....

They were in the zone for a majority of the 5-on-3. Parise had a tap-in play at the doorstep that he couldn't get through the pads. Elias, if he hadn't gone so close to the net, could've had a couple of bank in shots. It's just more frustrating from a Devils perspective. Even when Zidlicky took that penalty, we were the better team 4-on-4. It's just that it took one goal, which arguably should've been whistled down, that ultimately frustrated the Devils, and they weren't the same team after.

Just some thoughts:

Do you think we should keep Ponikarovski?

Do you think we should keep Salvador (with him we'd have seven defensemen with Larsson)?

How much should Fayne get in his new deal and how long?

Peter Harrold or Taormina as 7th d-man (both UFAs), or neither?

Sykora or Janssen returning, or neither?

This is true was just hoping for at least another week before there is no hockey and i don't know what to do with myself. I don't mind cam even though he sucks. Better he watches from the press box then take minutes from a prospect in the AHL and hes a great team guy.

i think this playoff run has shown that we don't need "fighters" on the team anymore. we just need a couple of big bodies that can hit and are willing to fight when the time is right. i hope lou has noticed this too.

He's got to pay his ex-wife 500k each year until 2020 in alimony. I don't think he signs for lower than 4 million, I think at this point, this money is just to fund the rest of that alimony.

Yup, Clarkson and Carter are enough in the fighting department, "fight" in between the whistles, not after. I love the future with DeBoer at the helm though, once he gets players for this system, we'll be here again. We just need a good mix of quick, gritty forwards and some big bodies that are good on the boards. Players like Versteeg would excel in our system.

It depends what they ask. If it's giving up a prospect and a late pick, why not. Give Radulov 3.75 million or somewhere around there, there's no knocking the potential there. It could be like another Pikka experiment, except Radulov can actually score without the help of the goalie.

A huge gamble and hes gonna want big bucks or he will go back to the khl. I think he will go back to the khl anyway no one is gonna want to pay him after the bullpoop he pulled in the playoffs. Good player but a bad attitude id rather pass.
