and brad richards has 9 seasons of 60 plus points. should have been a dead give away.
wow. - tomburton99
im taking Jordan Staal right now over Brad Richards right now. kind of confused why you're bringing stuff up from 9 seasons... we are talking about guys right now. obviously i would take brad richards 9 years ago over jordan staal. staal was 14 years old.
please bring relevant stats in the conversation.

HAHAHAHAHHAHHAHA. Brad Richards has always played on A FIRST LINE. Staal got 52 points in 60 games on a SECOND LINE with Kennedy and Kunitz. Your points are invalid. |

Bad deal for the pens. They don't need another offensive D! They need good, scoring, big, 2-way players...ie they NEED more Staal-like players! Ideally he moves up to second line and either Crosby or Malkin is on the wing permanently. Trade Martin for cap space, Kennedy for a guy like Doug Murray and the situation is solved. - mventres
Malkin belongs at center with Neal and Kunitz until proven otherwise. That line was too damn important, and the wing experiment with Geno never worked. If anyone should move it should be Sid. Didn't Mario do that for a time? Staal could center the second line with Sid and Dupuis on wing. Dooper does well with Sid. Unless they want to put their eggs in one basket, Mario-Jagr style, and just put Sid on Malkin and Neal's line.
Staal could command the second line with plug in guys like Kunitz, Dupuis, and Kennedy. Which, to me, really doesn't sound that great of a prospect. Now, if they went out and got a better scoring wing, I'd be more inclined to say "yeah try it", but I really don't know if that's going to happen.
But yeah, I say Sid moves to wing. He'll just have to shoot more. Which he should any way. |

Miss South Carolina, was asked why she thought that 1 in 5 Americans can't find the United States on a map.
Here is an actual transcript of her answer; a real word salad:
“I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the US should help the US, uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.”
On the other hand, Miss Ohio, may have actually done worse:
When asked to name a film in which a woman is depicted in a positive way during the Q&A round, the blonde 23-year-old raised eyebrows when she chose Julia Roberts' role in Pretty Woman.
Smiling broadly, Audrey Bolte was unaware she had named a prostitute saved by a wealthy older man as a role model to women.

Its 2012 right now, Staal was getting third line minutes and was 21 in 2010. I guess since Mike Richards got chosen over Stamkos, Mike Richards MUST be better. |

if Malkin was from Canada, would he have Team Canada over the unstoppable Mike Richards?? |

that's why your are stupid because i was talking about mike and not brad. - tomburton99
either you cant get over a simple mistake, or you're continuing to bring up petty things because you know you're wrong. |

Not a chance, Staal and picks including a 1st would be a starting point, Phoenix would be stupid to trade Yandle for a 3rd line Center. - HankdaTank
He is only a third line center for three organizations, including the one he plays for. He is a top line center for six or seven and a second line center for the rest.

How about Staal to edmonton for Smid and a second rounder? - oilers2k12
Serious? So, trade one of the best two-way forwards in the game for a third D-pairing guy at best and a second rounder in a weak draft? LOL |

Sid should NEVER play wing. He is the best facoff man the pens have. He is the best player the pens have and should play his most natural postion all the time. His down low defense is also something you cannot take for granted. Having Sid playing the walls and poaching at center ice is not what we need. |

I have seen nothing to indicate that Staal is anything better than a third line forward. Yandle in my opinion is a top 20 dman. The prospect Pittsburg gives up better be 2 first round picks for this to balance. - bsteinley
He would be NO WORSE than your second center. You haven't watched him play much and I'm sure you haven't watched much hockey. He is only third line center for about three organizations.

Didn't Philly almost trade for Quick a season or two ago? It was either him or Bernier. I bet their GM is kicking himself over not making that trade happen. I got to give Quick a whole lot of credit to go from playing on the Reading Royals to being a potential Conn Smythe, Cup winning goalie. Unreal. Good for him.
Too bad Richards and that peckerhead Carter will get their names on The Cup. I hate those guys. |
