As soon as I find out how many players I can pick out of Calgary's system thanks to their newly-developed $55M internal cap.
Might take half of the team for mid-round picks

Cool. I hope these are actually debatable deals with actual talent.
I don't want to see any Draft day deals......like CGY trades pick #57 to NYI for pick #71 and #102.
EDIT: Clouts is saying he's not taking Cap figures into consideration. You are?

The whole point is to trade franchise cornerstone for blue-chip prospect fifteen times over to create an absolute poopstorm and bring out SCALR.

The Rumor chart is live...FYI... 52 players! Largest launch to date, and about ten more guys going to be added..at least. Link above in the website directory bar. - Eklund
That's another element. I think Pittsburgh -- considering their cap restraints -- are better off developing within. Fitting Yandle's deal would be tough. - Travis Yost
I think Carolina make's more sense for a trade. A defenseman like Gleason is what the Pens need. Sutter and Skinner are names that would be talked about. Not going to predict knowing what it would take.

That would be a hard deal to put together. Gleason will in no way get it done, Pitkanen is too risky and I don't think Carolina will part with Skinner. I just don't see a good fit there. If anything, I can see Jordan joining his other brother Marc in the Big Apple.

I imagine Eric talking up his brother right now. Saying if he could only get out from behind Sid and Geno!!! I personaly dont want to trade Staal he is one of the best players every playoff game. He does everything and my biggest fear is he will 30-40 goals and 50 assists in another uniform!!!
I haven't seen a offer I like and if I'm Shero someone is overpaying or no trade. With 20 teams interested that shouldn't be a problem.

My take is that the Pens need another D man like they need holes in the head. A stable that includes Paul Martin, Kris Letang, Zbynek Michalek, Brooks Orpik, Deryk Engelland, Simon Despres and young guns like Joe Morrow and Scott Harrington not far away not enough ice time. Sure everyone wants to move Martin but thats not the issue, why take on the same kind of D man you already have stocked in the system.
I think the Pens would much rather have a top 4 Winger or a good forward prospect and picks for Staal.

In the land of Leaf-hate, that would be considered tampering.

To Tor: J. Staal
To Pit: Schenn, Kulemin, conditional 2013 2nd rounder (if he re-signs)
Fair? - Phenom
That works for the Leafs. Than with the Leafs getting the "center" to play with Kessel & Lupol they don't need to use the 5th pick to draft a center so they can draft D-man Matthew Dumba. Schenn will be expendable anyways if the Leafs draft Dumba. I also believe due to Kulemin being Russian & having previously played on the Russian teams with Malkin, the Pens could have am interest in Kulemin also.

That's pretty much my thinking. They even have the option of taking Forsberg if he's available to replace Kulie on the wing. There's no reason to think one of Malkin or Crosby couldn't make him a 30-goal scorer once again.
