You are acquiring two Swedes into the lineup. When was the last time Pittsburgh has had two Swedes in the lineup, let alone one. - Oneonta Penguin

Keep on adding names ... before you know it, Crosby and Toews will be in the discussion - Oneonta Penguin
Maybe we should just do Toews for Staal. I mean, obviously Chicago would do that seeing as how Staal was drafted a spot ahead of him. |

If the Penguins are willing to part with Jordan Stall...why not trade for Nash? Columbus is in a position where they're gonna have to get rid of him anyways for way less than what he's worth, I'm sure they'd jump at the chance to get a giant two-way center who can dominate any situation....and imagine a Penguins powerplay with Crosby, Nash and Neil on forward, and Letang and Malkin on point. |

I'm not sure you can fit Nash into the equation cap wise with Crosby, Malkin, Neal, et al there. Do that, and its inevitable that you have to make a choice between Crosby and Malkin - who to resign.

Nash would look real good in a pens sweater but not as good as 71 & 87. I'd say if I were Shero Staal and Martin are a package deal. Ha Ha wonder if anyone would bite. Is 11 good enough to make you take on Martin's contract? |

Adding Martin and his 5 million for the next three years detracts from the return. However, I don't think he would be as bad in Columbus. He needs a change of scenery. He has demonstrated that he could be a very good blueliner before, so ...

Martin is a good player but is overpaid, that's all. He's worth 3.5 - 4 million at most. We'll find a trade partner eventually. I bet there are at least 5-6 teams that would take him.
