But even without looking at it from the other teams perspective, why would we trade for more puck moving defenemen? That's not an organizational need. If we end up getting a Yandle/Keith/Suter I will expect a Letang trade announcement shortly after, can't see any other reason to aquire one of these guys.

Isn't Yandle's cap hit north of 5 mil? If so, why would we trade for someone so similar to Letang and who would have the same cap hit (maybe a little less) than resigning Staal? No sense.

Im not trading Fleury. How quick we forget how great he was in 2010-2011 and mostly all of this season until the Martin collision. A lot of people are saying that MAF was overworked (and that may be true) but I really think the Martin collision played a big role in things. Look at the struggles Ryan Miller had after Lucic collision. Miller played much better towards the end of the year, when I believe the cobwebs went away.

Very impressed. I dont think this was on anybody's radar. Bylsma can rest Fleury whenever he wants now and provides injury insurance like you said.

Fleury is the guy and will always be the guy, nothing will change that.

He IS the guy BUT he lacks consistency at times it is needed most. Reminds me of a nervous horse at the starting gate. I like him BUT his problem is consistency. I hope some day he can achieve that goal.
