The refs ruined the biggest game of the year. Yet I cant forget Rob what you did for us we could not have won a cup without you. I congratulate you on your 2nd Stanley cup.

You are the 1 free agent who left who we wanted back there was never a hard feeling, but just a sense you deserved more money we could not commit too at he time regretably.

As a salary dump, that is a high reward low risk for the Pens. I can't see Nash taking on a $5m hit for Martin. Even if Martin would thrive in that Trottz style of play.

I would take the risk as you move a contract you wanna get rid of and get back a winger who could fill a hole we have, if he signs in a price range we have available.

Can't see Nash even considering it though, if they can pay Martin, they will over pay for Sutter and Webber.

I can't argue 'cause I feel the same way. Part of me thinks I'm selfish because the Pens fell flat on their faces, but I think the biggest reason for me was the brand of hockey. I love the gritty, hard fought wins as much as the next guy, but watching hour after hour of shot blocking and interference with minimal scoring chances was frankly not very fun. Interference and the clutch and grab hasn't gotten to the point of the 90's, but it's certainly back and I'm pretty sure the NHL will regret letting it come back.

Still, no arguing the Kings deserved the cup. Scuds was just dominant in his roll. Really a shame he's not here anymore.

All I can say is that I've watched the past 4 - 5 years of playoffs religiously, regardless of the Pens fate, would watch every damn game. This year something was different. I watched some of the other first round games and got absolutely no satisfaction out of it. I tried the second round and again, nothing. Gave up at that point.

Not sure what it is, but you may be on to something.
