I'm ready to walk away from Jagr. Its time to allow the younger players to take over that role. Voracek I feel can step into that spot and be something special.

I love the guy but I don't want him hear for $4 million dollars. He's hurt to much for that. Great lockerroom guy but I won't be upset if he's not in the orange and black next year.

I think that money can be spent elsewhere for this team. The Flyers have a lot of younger players who should get more ice time this season.

It depends on the price. If all you have to give up is like Nick Cousins and a conditional pick if he signs, I would do it in a heart beat. Worst that happens is he is another Zherdev and you stick him in the press box. Best that happens is with Giroux centering him he becomes a 50 goal scorer....
- RooNosHockey

I don't care if the Flyers get a pick and a prospect to take him, I wouldn't do it. And you said exactly why. At worst he might be another Zherdev. Absollutely zero interest regardless of the cost.

He might be one of the better D-man in this crop of free agents, but I don't think he is a top pair guy... So your just argueing semantics.
- RooNosHockey

He puts up very good offensive numbers and sees a lot of icetime. It's not in any way semantics.

Could you imagine if Homer could get Zuccerallo and Radulov by just giving up some late round picks, and them signing here. A future top 6 guy in Zucc and a top line guy in Rad... It would open them up to trade some big name forwards to land a few good defenseman... mmmm silly season.. mmmmmm
- RooNosHockey

Silly is definitely the key word in that scenario.

I wouldn't mind Zuccarello but Radulov I'm definitely not understanding the fascination there. I understand he's offensively talented but so was zheredev.

I'd like for the Flyers to make a move for him or Garrison. When Timmonen's contract expires then they should go guns blazing after a big money dman.

I heard a rumor on Twitter early that had Jagr signing or seriously considering signing with Montreal. Anybody know if there is truth to this?
- NickTheKid87

Jagr will seriously consider signing with whoever pays him the most.

Radulov? I'll pass please.

I think the Radulov-Zherdev comparison is unfounded other than they are both Russian. Yeah both guys have had effort/personality issues but they are two different people. Radulov is better than Zherdev ever was. I think Radulov will have a ton of success in the NHL but I still don't want him in Philly. If he went 3 consecutive games without scoring the fans and media would rip him to pieces.

What has Radulov ever done in the NHL? Zherdev has had some success in the NHL.

I disagree.. Zherdev is supremely talented.. He has posted 61 points and 58 points in the NHL... Radulov never broke 60 points.. They both have the talent to be elite players... but they lack heart and drive.

Very very similar players

Thats a lot to command from a 41 year old player who struggled down the stretch.

Hes going to cost some money. Do the Flyers want to take that chance that he is a headache and distraction to the team? He wasn't even on Nashville's roster until late and he was an issue.
- stveshdy

Right. He was an issue to a team that he abandoned, and the ownership let back without any kind of punishment. Did you notice his partner in crime was a guy that wasn't on the Preds when he left. I think he was in a position there that he couldn't suceed in. Just too many burnt bridges. He will cost money, but maybe like a 1 year deal for Jagr money. If he works out extend him for what he is worth, if not he walks as a UFA to where-ever he wants.

If the Taliban combined a team with Al Qaeda I would want them to beat the Devils 50-0.

The last round Devs/Rangers was tough, I dislike the Devils franchise with every fiber of my being, but I also hate Tortorella with the strength of a million burning suns. I had no one to root for there.

Could you please elaborate? Why you think this? Thanks.
