Radulov is a terrible option for us. I'm thinking he finds his way back to the KHL once again. Nashville players can't stand him, apparently--(and for good reason).

Isn't Zuccerello heading back to Elitserin or the KHL or something?
- NickTheKid87

The guy above said he had an NHL out in the contract.... Thus the low price for his rights.

basing your opinion on a half a season doesn't seem like a good strategy to me
- bradleyc4

exactly he's aging and breaking down. Nothing there i wanted the Flyers to go after last year.

your onto something with this post...but i slightly disagree

it will be bittersweet for Gagne, but not Carter and Richards. They will bask in the glory...
Disclaimer:
This is only my opinion.

I hear you. Gags loved this city. I think part of him died when he had to go to Tampa. I wish he could have played with a elite passer his whole or most of his career. Remember what he did with Forsberg?

Yea Nashville has a good reason to hate him, he walked out on them. But he didn't walk out on the Flyers. They dont have any reason to hate on him. Just more to gain IMO then possible to lose if he comes cheap.

What makes you think he wont walk out on the Flyers? Character is a big question mark.

Not a bad idea. Revolutionize the game, 5 forward lines, 1 1/2 d-lines, and give the pressbox guy some extra work.

no doubt, he is a Flyer for life but at the end of the day, it's a business. I know a lot of people don't like to hear it but it's a business. Gagne was making 5 million and spent the last few seasons hurt. It's one thing being on LTIR where they can use your cap space but he was in and out of the lineup and it made it hard to replace him in the lineup.
As for the SCF, there is no salary cap, so he's good to go and hopefully he will get his cup.

I know Philly will welcome him back when his career winds down or be over...
No offense but Forsberg can make Magnus Roupe look good.

Could you imagine if Homer could get Zuccerallo and Radulov by just giving up some late round picks, and them signing here. A future top 6 guy in Zucc and a top line guy in Rad... It would open them up to trade some big name forwards to land a few good defenseman... mmmm silly season.. mmmmmm

Zuccarello is headed to the KHL.

I loved Gagne when he was here and yes I rooted and desperately wanted him to win it last year with the bolts, but he hasn't played in over 6 months so I don't think it's the same for him just as it isn't for me.

I agree that trading Gags was the right move, as much as it kills me...

And Forsberg could make all of us score a few goals in the NHL but he once said that Gagne has the purest shot he'd seen.

I heard a rumor on Twitter early that had Jagr signing or seriously considering signing with Montreal. Anybody know if there is truth to this?

Adding to that...it's been said that Jagr has wanted to experience playing in Canada before he calls it a career.

I'm ready to walk away from Jagr. Its time to allow the younger players to take over that role. Voracek I feel can step into that spot and be something special.

Its four tough lines that have guys who can play 2 ways hard nosed hockey.

That 4th line would be insane.

There are no garuntees, but it's low risk, high reward. Just like Zherdev... The worst that happens is he doesn't play. The best... He could actually be a good guy that was misunderstood and puts up 50 a year and is a hero in Philly. It's not like he walked out on his Quebec team, or his KHL team.

Wideman is not a mid tier defenseman. He will be one of the top UFA defenseman available.

He'd also be a whipping boy in Philly very quickly.

Hes going to cost some money. Do the Flyers want to take that chance that he is a headache and distraction to the team? He wasn't even on Nashville's roster until late and he was an issue.
