2.5. Gaborik takes every other season off for injuries..
- RooNosHockey

I could see them getting Weber and overpaying for him grossly then descend back into the basement from which they came.

With Tim Thomas out and the Rangers without their top goal scorer, what team scares you next year?

Rangers?
Devils?
Caps?
Bruins?
Pens?

I don't think we are much better than those teams but I don't think they are much better than us either. F Nash and Weber.

The Rangers could offer Stepan, Hagelin, McDonaugh, Del Zotto, etc.

Still no comment, plus you never gave me your stock tip.

I wouldnt mind Radulov either if the price is right. If you can get him for like a Prospect and a conditional pick (if he signs) I don't see a problem with going after him. Now he would be a dynamic winger for Giroux....
- RooNosHockey

I don't want anything to do with Radulov or players like him.

i think in someways that's what the team needs. They need people to grow into their roles and to add a piece here and there not to revamp the whole roster.

How upset are fans going to be when we only add 1 or 2 mid-tier players?
- Daman

That's what I want them to do if they can't land Weber or Parise.

I wont be upset at all, as long as we retain Carle. A mid tier D-man like Gill, Souray, or Wideman would give us a really strong top 6 D, and a decent defensive forward for the PK and 3rd line duty would be good too. Really the offense was fine last year, and the defense got better with the addition of Grossmann. As long as the injury bug doesnt bite us like it did last year, this team could be a Pres cup contendor...

Schenn-Couturier-Read
Wellwood-Talbot-Langenbrunner

I think we can be more thankful to Pit and Wash for this. With Thomas deciding not to play next year, and Vokoun now signed with Pittsburgh, this makes the rest of the goalies out there a little more valuable. Maybe the Flyers may be able to move Bob after all. The only starter on the market is Loungo... Some second teir guys like Biron, Clemmensen, Auld, and Nabakov...

And I dont think LA is going to trade Bernier when Quick is scheduled to be UFA next season. After these playoffs he is going to cost a fortune, and negotiations might get tough...

- RooNosHockey

Good point, and I do think Bob will be dealt this offseason. For better or worse, the organization is married to Bryz for a while. I wouldn't mind going with a cheaper, veteran presence to back-up Bryz and act as a caddy, then a guy trying to take his job. Hovenin and Heeter will probably be with the Phantoms, give them time to develop.

it's an old cliche but if the Flyers play the way they can, they can beat anyone within the system Lavy has them playing. In this day an age, no team should be scared of another team. You just need to come to play each and every night. We have seen how this team chooses to show up and we have seen it when it has checked out.
But to answer...the Pens are always dangerous because of the two headed monster.

I agree with Blue Man and Nick the Kid. Weber would be tough to get and Parise very expensive. Nothing wrong with the lineup you presented but I like Rinaldo on the ice.

What the heck is going on in Pittsburgh? They got a steal in Vokoun for 2 yrs/4 Million total.

That's how you avoid overpaying for a goalie. Kudos to the Penguins.

Are you serious? 2 Mil for a backup? That is overpaying IMO

I like Langenbrunner...we shall see

I see a prpblem with it. A huge problem. Absolutely the last player I want to see them go after. Absolutely the wrong type of player to bring into this team.

yea I don't understand the desire for Radulov, when he's perceived to be a big reason for the Nashville collapse.
