True, but you figure there'd be a fire drill here or there. I don't recall too many mistakes. All playoffs. But then again, maybe there have been a few and like you said Quick has just erased them.
Probably being 100% healthy (outside of Gagne) has been one of the biggest keys. I don't know how deep the Kings roster is if they had of lost 1-2 key guys. - rockychocbill
Word is Carter is not healthy (what a surprise! ) |

I didn't see that. Is this true? - PLindbergh31
See my comment a few posts up. It was via a phone interview, by the way. |

I'm trying to figure out why the Flyers had a hard time setting up in the Devils end bc of Brodeur. The Rangers and Kings both moved the puck well in there zone. Brodeur's ability to handle the puck killed the Flyers. At times Brodeur could of played a game of monopoly before he would even see a shot. - stveshdy
Stretches of 12, and 18 minutes without a shot on goal. Unconscionable. |

I just watched it. He says he hasn't watched one game. It's too hard for him, knowing that he could be playing.
Makes sense. Nothing to see here at all. - Giroux_Is_God
Watch and learn. Hartnell especially should be watching. He's always amazed at stuff. |

The Kings are going to win the Cup having spent a measly $3.05M on goalies. - rockychocbill
Quick will get a huge raise in a year. Will be interesting how the Richards and Carter contracts and Quick's next big contract affect the team. |

Claude Giroux said he refuses to watch his former teammates in the Stanley Cup? I missed what he said.
The Kings are making history. The Devils have no answer for Quick. - stveshdy
I didn't hear DNL but Sarah Baicker just posted that he hadn't watched any hockey since they'd been eliminated. Which is a far cry from refusing to watch his former teammates. |

I guess I should have specified- he hasn't watched ANY hockey at all since being knocked out.
I don't see any problem with it. |

Comcast Sportsnet with the exaggeration. Surprise! - stveshdy
It's not really an exaggeration. Giroux said the same exact thing on WIP this morning. He said he wishes his good freinds well, but it's too painful for him to watch any Hockey knowing he could still be playing.

Carter asked at the presser about the Kings PK, he gives all the credit to John Stevens.... It's the twilight zone, this is actually happening. Amazing. |

Imagine the shockwaves it would've sent. The first move they make is a goalie. |

Not as bad as the Hawks had it, but Lombardi will have some work to do. |

Gagne played tonight, but if he was at full speed. That would be another solid two veteran in the lineup that would make the Kings even stronger. |

Ferraro said that Stevens is also responsible for getting Doughty to play a simpler, more responsible game too. He wasn't the problem in Philly. |

It's a lot easier to be poised when you have to make a 15 foot pass to move the puck out instead of looking for your forwards out above the blueline to outlet the puck. - MJL
LA has been playing their D first system now for quite a while. add some more dynamic offensive playrs along with that d and goalie and they're on a roll. makes you wonder whether the flyers breakneck style is part of the problem. |

Nope, Stevens was and is a very good Hockey Coach.

Nahhh he'll break his foot stepping off the ice. A la Ryan Howard running out of the batters box
AUTHOR'S NOTE: In no way am I hoping this happens. It's 100% a joke. |

Plenty of time to talk about that all off season. But any style played well and executed is capable of winning.

Dude do you expect anything different? This is a staple in Philadelphia. Disappointment happens all the time. You have to look forward to next year. |
