Had Brian Boyle for a couple games getting things done

Maybe if the ECF were played outdoors, Mike Rupp would have went off.

We went after Vokoun according to prohockeytalk.com. I applaud the effort.

On second thought............ so Homer was thinking of moving Bob then?

Everything they do is working. The team is in a zone and the goaltender is out of this world. The Devils just arent as good its that simple.
- stveshdy

Nobody has been as good...not even close. The Kings win tomorrow and they have the fewest games for a Cup winner since the NHL went to the 4 rounds of best of seven setup.

It helps to get the support they get from the forwards. I love the Kings Center breakout.
- MJL

They make it look so easy. This Devils forcheck killed the Flyers and yet its had zero effect on the Kings. The Kings are very calm with the puck and executing like its practice out there.

Makes no sense to bring in Vokoun if they're moving Bob. I don;t buy the Flyers having interest in Vokoun at all.

You are underestimating Richards contribution in leadership and on the ice. Penalty killing has been amazing and he takes pressure off Kopitar..
- Feeling_Glucky

No I am not but you may be underestimating the rest of the Kings.

You would figure most teams would have an advantage over a 40 year old, Fayne, Salvador, Harrold and Company.....

LAs system is mostly breaking thru the NJ forecheck and a big part of that is the poise shown by the kings d. quick is playing on another level and LAs size is also been a factor. I like their chances to sweep.

2mil a year for a backup is a lot, in my opinion.

I agree. Why would you want that behind Bryz and having him looking over his shoulder. And 2M for a backup? No thanks

Claude Giroux said he refuses to watch his former teammates in the Stanley Cup? I missed what he said.

The Kings are making history. The Devils have no answer for Quick.

True, but you figure there'd be a fire drill here or there. I don't recall too many mistakes. All playoffs. But then again, maybe there have been a few and like you said Quick has just erased them.

Probably being 100% healthy (outside of Gagne) has been one of the biggest keys. I don't know how deep the Kings roster is if they had of lost 1-2 key guys.

Not only that but adding Vokoun would be more expensive. We're looking to add cap space not lose it to a backup goalie.

It's a lot easier to be poised when you have to make a 15 foot pass to move the puck out instead of looking for your forwards out above the blueline to outlet the puck.

2 goals in 200+ minutes is just ridiculously unbelievable. Kings and Quick deserve a ton of credit for that without question, but the Devils deserve criticism as well.

My view is, Bryzgalov played his best when he was running with the ball, getting the bulk of the starts and in a rhythm. Signing Vokoun brings in competition and a guy who is going to demand starts and playing time.

I just watched it. He says he hasn't watched one game. It's too hard for him, knowing that he could be playing.

Makes sense. Nothing to see here at all.

That's true, but if they trade Bob, the cap difference is minimal.

I think Lava's history of managing goalies also contributes to whoever the starter is to look over their shoulder. I hope this past playoff run of Bryz being the guy has put it to rest, for everyones sake.

I'm trying to figure out why the Flyers had a hard time setting up in the Devils end bc of Brodeur. The Rangers and Kings both moved the puck well in there zone. Brodeur's ability to handle the puck killed the Flyers. At times Brodeur could of played a game of monopoly before he would even see a shot.

The Kings are going to win the Cup having spent a measly $3.05M on goalies.

Doesn't seem like the best thing for Fleury after the postseason he had, either.

Team defense is the difference.
