If To wants Luongo Komi won't be the return as Leaf fans suggest. - VANTEL
He's not THE return, he's a necessary throw-in to make the deal work financially though. He has no impact on the rest of the return though.
That's all I was trying to communicate to you the other day when we were discussing this btw. If I did that ineffectively, I apologize. |

Someone suggested before Kumi the rights to Franson and Kuli for Lu Raymond and Ballard. That is getting more respectable. TO does not need Ballard and we do not need Kuli but is getting into ballprk range now. |

Your saying you don't need Kulemin?
Every team in the league could use Nikolai Kulemin. Yeah, he had a down year. But theres not many wingers with his skill set and skating ability that also play as physical as he does and are somewhat defensively responsible. Is he a perrenial 30 goal scorer? Maybe. Maybe he's only a 25 guy. But there is no team that can really say they wouldn't want Kuli. Even if he's not producing to warrant a top 6 spot, he slots into the bottom 6 and still gives you an honest shift.
I wouldn't do that deal for Lu though, personally. |

Ty Anderson: Confirmed: Thomas taking 2012-13 season off - tyanderson
I agree that Rask being the goalie for the Philly collapse deserves mentioning because Rask let in some tough goals in games 4-7. But let's not forget that during the same season he led the league in save% and GAA. My only worry is his groin injury.
If I were PC I would do everything possible trade Thomas' contract for a conditional draft pick which could be worded so the Bruins pick is a earlier round if Thomas actually plays at some pont next season for the new team. They could use that $5mil cap hit for something else, and that way keep Savard OFF of LTIR to bank salary for the trade deadline (assuming the CBA still works like that).
Edit: Happy to see Khudobin get some more action, he was spectacular in his one start last year. |

As I said, anywhere in the top 9
If your forward group is so good that Kulimen is on your 4th line, your coach is either a (frank)ing retard, or your so deep that anything besides the conference finals should be considered unacceptable by most standards. |

Severley doubt that. Not a high enough number of games played in a season. I think hell be signed to a 1 or 2 year deal and be given the opportunity to prove he's a true starter, and then he'll cash in.
For the record, I think he's going to be one of the top goalies in the league for many years. Theres no doubt in my mind he's worth that money, just not now. |

In my opinion, he's officially tarnished what could have been a pretty remarkable career.
Instead of being "Tim Thomas, diamond in the rough, late bloomer who won two Vezinas, a Conn Smythe and a Cup" to, "Tim Thomas, goalie that was too cool to meet the President of the United States and skipped the last year of his contract cause he is homesick"
I use to have a lot more respect for him. |

We differ on opinion .I think 3 rd lines should be grittier checking scorers .So it would need to be top 6 Sedin Sedin Burrows Kesler he won't knock out .
He is a LHF we have Booth and a kid named Jensen next year . We do need 1 top 6 but he is not the upgrade we need. |

Nicklas Jensen isn't NHL ready by any stretch. Watch plenty of Generals game.
My point is even if you have Kuli on that third line, he's still very effective.
For a guy that scored roughly 60 points a season ago, he's definitely an upgrade for your top 6. My point is is that he doesn't have to slot in there 24/7, he can move up and down the line-up.
But agree to disagree. |

Also stars that played for the Leafs have not panned out well for Canucks .Wellwood Sundin. |

All we can hope is the cap goes to the rumored $70mil giving the Bruins $13mil in space with Savvy on LTIR. Maybe if the floor goes up some team will take Thomas' contract.
Theres only one spot to fill on defense, and I have a feeling it will be Hamilton. |

I assumed you ment next year as in the season approaching.
Wellwood and Sundin didn't work out for their own reasons. Players are individuals though, has no effect on whether Kulemin would. Again, he's very versatile, and any team would likely take him with open arms. He's very valuable.
But again, it's just a disagreement in views on the structure of your team/the player in question. No big. |

I will reply in the Canuck blog to this. This is not fair to the Boston group talking about this here,

Him going back to Junior again is pointless. He needs to be in the AHL, really. But he's in-eligible.
I think you guys still resign Zanon too. |
