Toronto is really in a great situation ...they get to choose from one of the 3 overrated, nut case has beens...Luongo, Thomas or Hasek.
Get excited Leaf fans... - keatondixon

How many HOF goalies are there that have never won a Vezina or a Stanley Cup? Luongo does have great consistency but without those don't think he gets in the Hall. If he goes to Toronto his cup chances go way down. - flamminghead
He lost because Brodeur plays in the east and is everyones sweetheart. Luongo should have won that. He should have won twice. He's been nominated a lot. How many great defenseman didn't win the Norris because of Lidstrom. Theres eastern bias on trophies. LOL Theodore won it over Iginla..... which was insane. |

Fixed - VANTEL
I understand you want to sell a 6 year deal, but he has a 10 year deal. If I am buying, I am paying or offering you goods based on a 10 year contract not 6. Burke has to take luongo with the assumption his 5.3 will be on the books for 10 years.
I would need something in writing showing me that Luongo will retire at 39 or 40...From both the Van GM and Lu
I hope Toronto stays the hell away from any deals with Van... |

Vancouver fans need to understand that when you have 10 years and 64 million left on a contract for a guy who is 33 you can't get any sort of talent back. He is going to slide down the depth chart and be a backup making 5M+/per. You guys are in no position of power so just stop arguing anything. Simply put, you lose. Columbus has no need for a stop gap goalie who can give only 2 more years of 'solid' goaltending. Just smoke your pot and think of other ways to riot. |

This argument/debate is never going to change until Luongo is traded.
All the analysts, hockey insiders, Nucks blogger Ian Esplen and now Eklund vs the all knowing Nuck fan who says all of those people are wrong about Luongo's value.
One said says bad contract for bad contract. The Nuck fan says otherwise.......
I'll go with the Nuck fans, they seem to have all the experts in comparison |

No kidding. Good luck with Bryz and his fetish for Dogs. Instead of making a save he's thinking about how hot his dog is. Or why we're in the universe. Thinking about how we're made of the same elements as stars. "Are we stars"? |

So now you are using this to pad your sales pitch... More risk and costs for Toronto...
you are making it worse not better.

I don't make those decisions. I personally don't want him. Just don't expect anything of significance back from him. |

I am OK with Reimer and Scrivens ... if they do well, its a surprise, if they fail... more lottery picks.
And you make it sound like Lu is the only G option... lol ... Good luck with Lu

Well then, since Loungo is so great, the solution then becomes to move Schneider!

I Love the Canuck fans solutions for the last 4 years of Luongo's contract. You guys all sound like bad used car salesmen
"oh he'd make a great zamboni driver for the ACC.......... Have you ever seen Luongo work a concession? unbelievable............. Ushering elderly to their seats, nobody does it like Luuuuuuuuuuu"
Seriously, keep your pinto |

I'll use small words for the head injured Leaf fan here. I hope you get better son.
Simply, you can't just say something and hope its true.
There are 25 teams that have a lesser guy in the goal.
Even if you go down to the folks that should be interested, to say NO ONE is just stupid.
So there is a market. He has plenty of value, and if the Leafs want him, they will have to step up, or not.
Go ahead with Reimer as the starter and see how that goes. Or sign Vokoun...in a year the GM needs to succeed or be gone.
Hell, go for a Lindback...he is a good young goalie. Bernier too.
With Timmy taking the year off, its the Leafs that have NO LEVERAGE ( used capitals so you would understand thats important young man ) if they want an ACE veteran goalie that will literally guarantee the playoffs.
Sorry little man. - vancitydan
Wow that was pretty epic.... and I'm the one with the head injury.
