yeah, he sure told me. I feel so much remorse for treading over the lines of the coc to address one the many typical leaf=hating trolls around here.

... especially one who expects that we connect his name with his avatard, but can't understand there is a connection between my name and my "team"

Yeah, he sure got me. I am humbled.

Do you Canucks fans ever have any NEW arguements as to why that contract is not a huge albatross for other teams to take on?

You do realize that ALL of your arguements are based on what you think *might* happen in the future, when the reality of the contract is what you are committed to, not what is *maybe*.

- GoneFullRetard

You mean like saying he *might be* washed up in 4 years.

I'm pretty sure fans of the 29 other teams in the league can all agree we can do without the 'reality' lectures from leaf fans.

If that's all that's on the table from Toronto Im happier keeping Lou and watching the leafs miss the playoffs probably 8 or 9years out of those 10 Lou is signed for
- I-own_da-Northwest

But, the real question is.....if VAN keeps Lou, are you happy losing in the first round for the next 8 or 9 years? Either that or trade Schneider, cause you won't be able to afford both!

Well I wouldn't brag about exactly... but it still doesn't change the fact that Van has been way way way more successful the past decade than the leafs have. Cup or not.. the success is there... there are still accolades that have been won.

Its like fooling around with a girl.... we may not have had sex... but I still got to cum.

And you will still be sniffing my finger because you havent even seen a girl naked in those 8 years.

- kneughter

But who's debating the succes of both teams in the last 10 years...Vancouver fans? Shocking.

Just about as dumb of an argument as someone making fun of a homeless guys house.

Really??? since they are not legal in the CBA, I'll assume this is hyperbole?
- burn

really, so having periods in a contract when it a no-trade is lifted is not legal? hmm....

That's called trolling, and it's not really respected. It's kind of sad that that's your hobby though,

If it were a Leaf blog then that may be true but this is a Leaf /Tor blog so Ek should have known no good would come froim it. The reality is it gave us a day of entertainment on his site.

C'mon Juice. There's a huge difference between being a perennial Cup contender and being a doormat.

I'll quote a mod on here and say "you're better than that"

- golfingsince

But the sad thing its you guys doing the comparison wanting to boast your Canucks....do you really have to compare your success to one of the worst teams in the league?

Trolling is trolling, regardless of blog.

The question was "why are you so concerned about highlighting the patheticness of one of the leagues worst teams?"

I just figure it's best to remind him of a Code of conduct before the thread deteriorates into a name calling school yard fight. The fact that he made reference to my handle, while ignoring my own is also quite funny.

you moron... your name and your picture was EXACTLY my point.

Look at my name and my team ... see how they go together. Yet, it was YOU who assumed I was a Canucks fan.

Then, you fall into the trap of the truly idiotic and claim there are "out clauses" in Luongo's contract.

Here is a newsflash for you and the rest of the out-clause morons.

There is no out clause. There are windows where trades may be requested/enforced and or when the NTC does not apply.

The REALITY though has nothing to do with his NTC. The reality is the value he offers vs. age, vs. cap hit vs. term left on the contract is what is the concern.

Lou may demand a trade... no one may want him at that time at that age at that hit.

The Canucks may trade him when the NT windows closes... but maybe nobody wants him at that age at that cap.

THAT is the question, not the supposed "out clauses", which are nothing of the sort.

By the... if Luongo is traded, I think maybe his NTC doesn't come with him anyway(?), so one of your "out clauses" doesn't even apply to his new team.

We usually compare it to Chi . It is just when Leaf/Canuck blogs or trades are the main blog that we get into this.

Yeah...given your username and avatar. Why bother spending time loving your own team when you could make fun of another team that couldn't have any less effect on the history of your team.

Throw in Kesler and maybe then. Nash is worth Kesler and Booth/Edler alone.
- Old Pappy

Kesler is at least worth Nash on his own. Far more complete player who has won a selke and finished runner up, put up equal numbers, and isn't signed to an insane contract.

Nash is the most overhyped and overrated players in the league.

Wouldn't trade Edler straight up for Nash either.

Actually no one was debating it... that wasn't even my initial point... I was just saying... aside from maybe 1-2 years... since I've been a "real" canucks fan... I've been very happy with the level of quality this team has brought... especially since Lu has been around. I've been a ice pak ticket holder since the year before the lock out... and although I remember bits and pieces of the mid 90s.. I didn't become a true fan until about the 98-99 season.

I've enjoyed the hockey... it was nice seeing this teams first presidents trophy win... art ross winner.... I know its not a cup... but it was still a nice thing to witness.

So I base the canucks success during the time I've been a fan... not their entire exsistence in the league.. as I wasnt even alive for a lot of it, let alone a fan.

But I digress... this started by me pointing out Lu would put TO into the playoffs... and possibly more if you give it a couple years and add some more pieces... but one fan thought it was better to miss the playoffs AGAIN.. as if missing 8 times wasn't enough.
