Chicago wont be interested, they will go with Crawford for another year, and maybe bring in a guy like Vokoun as a vet.

Tampa Bay has already come out and said they arent interested, and would rather look through FA and the draft for a good young goalie

New Jersey wont be looking yet, Marty has said he doesnt see himself retiring after this year.

Flordia could be a possibility, but do they really need him? They have Markstrom coming up, and Theodore had a real solid year this season.

Then Toronto, who really needs a true number one.

Will it be just Komisarek? No but the max i see going to Vancouver is a solid prospect and a 3rd.....

And every (frank)ing year fans are ripping on different players... doesn't mean they aren't good. Lu is the teams scapegoat.. and most of it has to do with the fact that goalies are the last case of defense and we expect the world of him.

This year we saw fans turn on a number of players... including edler, kesler, burrows, sedins, bieksa and of course Lu. Doesn't take away from their accomplishments or that they aren't great/good players. Even some people were wanting them traded... and I wouldn't have a problem with some players being moved IF the deal made sense... not for the sake of moving him.

If you feel Toronto can do better for less... then thats your opinion... but I believe you would be wrong. If all thats available to Gillis is Komi, D'amigo and a 3rd... then Gillis will look at either moving CS or hold onto both until a better deal is available.

I guarantee you.. that whatever deal is made.. whether its CS or Lu being moved.. and whether TO is the trade partner or not... the deal will be a lot better than that one.

But even if he did ask for a trade... so what? He didn't make it public (like the Nash fiasco) doesn't change the fact that he still has to be moved.. and Gillis won't do it for the sake of doing it... he will wait for the best available deal to be made.

The article also mentions the idea of trading Lu straight up for Keith... I'm guessing you think Chicago would be crazy if they did that?

Ya, we know it was 'reported'. However, Lu nor Gillis would confirm that Lu asked for a trade. The person that broke the story was Lu himself when he said he wouldn't stand in the team's way and would waive his no-trade if asked. Anything else at this point is just heresy.

Now show me a quote of Lou asking for a trade, or it didn't happen.

This is much more probable if burke makes a play for Luongo, Canucks may not be dealing from a position of absolute strength but they are not going to take just Komisarek, anyways why is everyone saying komi because we all hate him? seems to me komi fits into Carlyle's style of play does he not?

I do too... but it was suggested by a media person... which just shows how many different people view Lu as a player.

And all that really matters is how the GM's/organization views that player... not what any of us think. And its quite obvious that 2 of the teams that need a goalie more than anyone believe Lu is a top tier... elite goalie... and if thats the case... the return will surprise many people.
