The Flyers lost that series because of Timonen being to small?

That was me getting smart? News to me. I'm just trying to have a conversation.

Those are some mighty big internet muscles there though bud. Good for you.

And as I already said, we don't have a small defense. Let me know when you have something intelligent to contribute.

That was me being smart, btw. See the difference?

Depends on Enström's signability, IMO. As a one-year rental, no way. But if he'd be willing to sign long-term, I'd seriously consider it.
- bmeltzer

I would consider it....if he wasn't going to hold out for the sky the moon and the stars. Resigning him for 3 - 4 years for a hit that isn't tying the team down too much....yeah again, I might consider moving JvR.

JCVD is in the next Expendables movie

oh god no i hope the flyers dont get Enstrom... He will be a deadly PP qb in a few years... I dont need Giroux Enstrom and Voracek in an umbrella with the likes of Simmonds Briere Schenn and JVR down low... Add Jagr Hartnell Coutourier.... Philly is no doubt the most offensively stacked team in the NHL, and they have toughness and two way forwards...I think Bobrovski is gonna be a star goalie in a few years and Philly will surely win a cup. They should hold on to what they have, grabbing Enstrom would be nice but its not worth Schenn or JVR. If they can get him for a Matt Read and a 1st round pick i would say 100 percent do it... But i dont know if they can do that. Coburn Enstrom Carle and Mezaros is not a bad d core at all.... in my opinion just try and clear up space for your youngsters, get rid of Timmonen Pronger and eventually Bryz. Once JVR Schenn and Coutourier start to grow Philly will win a cup...

If u r truly a Leafs fan thx for ur honesty. I agree with almost everything u said, except I think Bob won't be a Flyer. But I prefer to keep all our players and fill in gaps with 3rd line players

Fantasize being the key word...

"But let's just fantasize that Weber were to become a UFA next year. It would take a lot of wheeling, dealing, and cap-number crunching but it would not be impossible cap-wise for the Flyers to turn Weber and Enström into the long-term replacements for Pronger and Timonen as the centerpieces of their blueline with Giroux and Couturier as the two focal points of the forward corps."

If the Flyers are going to retain Carle then I wouldn't be interested in Enstrom. I would like a player who is more rounded, with more size and a better defender. Especially if it's going to cost JVR or Schenn in a trade.

No it's not. Some of the best pitchers in the history of the game have had pitchers hit home runs off of them.

The Phillies are using him all wrong, he should be playing first base instead of pitching.

How bout that cleanup hitter today, Hector Luna.

Let's single out Luna who should be a bench player or not even on the team. When other highly paid players such as Victorino, Pence, Rollins, etc, are throwing up ofers.

Did Luna write his name in the cleanup spot in the batting order? Just a hunch, I don't think he did. Luna is what he is, a career minor leaguer, he has no business batting cleanup.

Exactly, so why mention it? That's the issue they're having with injuries. They don't have a cleanup hitter currently.
