Not the bible, but some fun reading........ Yea, the OHL is thought of as the top junior league in the world with the WHL thought of as a big physical defensive minded league and the QMJHL a no defense nintendo type numbers league.
Love what Tallon has been able to do in such a short time in Florida. That's on top of making the playoffs this year. - Mr Ricochet
I'm sure glad he took Jack "frickin'" Skille over Anje Kopitar, and Kyle "f'n" Beach over Tyler Myers. (Two guys I were hoping they would take in those respective drafts, by the way). But I forgot, Tallon walks on water..... |

I dont think Lucic is available but JJ said the Bruins were possibly one of 4 teams that have "Kane" interest , Im just saying that if Im Stan Bo that deal starts with Lucic + - mrpaulish
Kane 23 goals 43 assists 40 pim
Lucic 26 goals 35 assists 135 pim
I think it might have to be Kane + to get Boston interested. I don't think they would trade Lucic straight up. |

Definitely two misses on Tallons part. I remember reading Wiz's draft preview that season and he was all over the Hawks picking Myers before the draft. |

And with the stellar penalty kill the Hawks have I am sure an additional thirty to fifty power plays that extra 100 PIMs means will be no problem either.... |

it would really change the complexion of the Bruins if they dealt Lucic. As awesome as that might be to see him wearing the Indian Head, I think it's very unlikely regardless what the Hawks would offer. |

Concerning Nash, it's hard to nay-say. But, he is 29, with a nearly $8M cap hit that extends to the 2017-18 season. I like him a lot as a player, but I'd like him a lot more if he were 25 or 26. While I like long-term contracts, I don't like long-term deals for a massive cap hit, particularly when said player is knocking on 30. It's s sexy proposition, but I think there are some pitfalls most are looking past.
Actually, Rick Nash is still 27...his birthday is June 16, 1984, so 28 is coming up fast. |

When his contract ends he will 33. Same age as Hossa now. IMO, not a big deal.

I don't know if you were around back then but...
I had it from a really good source the Hawks wouldn't pass on Beach if he was available...They loved him.
I wrote so a few hours before the Draft. |

Ha! didn't you hear Kitchen will be in charge of the PK this season so he'll get that straightened out.
I think some of Lucic's penalty minutes are majors six to be exact.... |

If Thomas sits out the Bruins are in a very tough spot...They might have to get really creative, although I don't see them trading Lucic.
The $5 mill in cap space for Thomas would have to be spent on a goalie.

Yes I do remember reading that the Hawks wanted Beach. I think they should have listened to Wiz on that one.

Hawks were 18th in the NHL on PK last year - 78.1%. One goal against every five penalty kills.
Including the majors that's like 38 more power plays, or eight more goals against.

Another way to look at this, He hasn't really played in many seasons like Hossa has, gone deep into the playoffs multiple years in a row. I don't think he has as many miles on him as his years of service may dictate. |

It will be very interesting and that isn't a bad idea on the surface.

Savards LTIR exemption still there. Khudobin is under contract, Rask is RFA. They'll sign Rask $3-4M and be done. Means no big moves, but should be enough to keep the core together. |

The Bruins have a lot of muscle and toughness so on their part they would have to be looking to add more skill. Kane would provide that plus playing on a team like the Bruins Kane would sure get much more room to operate and may produce even more than he has with the Hawks. The Hawks on the other hand don't have a top six forward that is physical and can score. |

Without Lucic and a concussed Horton, while the B's still play physical, I'm not sure who else provides a whole lot of muscle up front beyond Thornton. Looch drives the attitude among the forwards, without him it would be a very different looking group. |

Is there any audio/video of them actually saying that they don't want to help their own son? I'm not saying what you are saying is untrue but I'm dumbfounded to think they actually feel this way.

I don't know if the story is true but if so, it sounded more as though they're in denial than anything else, i.e., there's no problem so we don't need to do anything. |
