what kind of numbers will kane produce when he is surrounded with the kind of players with a s s that stan could never provide for kane to excell?
- molly2522

which is why we need to add and get more back, boston needs more scoring we need more ass & grit! looch,mcQuaid , and ??? for kane &??? .
moll. i called this 1 a couple of weeks ago. been hearing rumblings of it in the room at 1 of our skates. of course the sources will just give you a blank stare or chuckle with some light hearted banter when you ask. read between the lines, it's on baby! the bruins would love to put kane with tyler seguin, that is why looch must absolutely be included along with a couple of other pieces coming back. and i don't mean club foots either, but legit pieces. because potential has to be equated into this deal! seguin & kane will be deadly together that is why stan bowman can't wiff on this 1 or it will look like the esposito trade all over again rather than the secord trade! talk to you soon, when you comin up?

IF something like this goes down don't be disappointed if it's more like Krejci and McQuaid for Kane. Boston has an abundance of centers to trade from and Big Dougie can step in to replace McQuaid. Lucic is not going anywhere - Boston is not that stupid although I would love to see that guy out of the east. Lucic-Seguin-Kane. Hawks get their 2C and 3/4D. Probably a pick. When SB doesn't accept that offer Boston will look elsewhere. That's my take.

Well if the Bruins want Kane, the first guy you insist on as part of the trade is Dougie Hamilton. Big, right hand shot who is going to be a stud defenceman. And then you build on the package from there. No Hamilton in the deal - then tell Cam Neely and Chirelli to pound salt and start raiding them of their unsigned free agents like Chris Kelly and Gregory Campbell.

I'd be satisfied with Kane and Crawford going in exchange for Hamilton and Tuuka Rask.

I agree Dougie is a beast and that would be huge if the hawks get him..... I was actually pissed the flyers passed on him (but I'm not anymore since it was couturier they got in his stead).

Rumors have Boston looking at Nash .... Maybe sending Rask, Krejci, + to get him. Then again that's just speculation from the Boston media.

Parise is a stud. My guess is he stays in NJ considering the SC run they are on.... kinda rules out the 'sign with a team where you can win a CUP' angle for the other teams that would recruit him
- moylander

Not necessarily... a retooled Hawks team on paper has at least as good a shot at returning to the finals as NJ... Its really all about catching lightning in a bottle.

Are you familiar with Vince?

No, sure he knows his stuff. Training's come a long way the last 15 years or so, and there are a lot of really smart people out there now.

moy, as a fellow flyer fan(2nd favorite team), then if lucic isn't part of the deal, then no kane plain & simple! you too rick! there are those around here on w. madison street that are concrete about the perameters: no lucic, no kane! E O S!
maybe just add other pieces to the team while kaner staightens it out another
way. but we do know that stan bowman is concrete on certain players that have to be part of any potential deal involving kaner and looch is 1 of them.

Great article on TSN the other day. Pay particular attention to what they say about Bolland and his stats.

So if Kane is traded for something other than a C we should still be ok with JT 1C Bolan 2C kruger3C mayers 4C

Bolland does have a knack for finishing when given the opportunity , when he gets break aways he finishes . I wonder if there are any stats on breakaway percentages , not shoot out related.

If the Hawks got a really good package for Kane and moved Bolland to #2 center I wouldnt hate that , especially if the Hawks acquired a scoring winger and tough D man

Would be a huge mistake IMO. That TSN article tells you all you need to know. Bolland is a special guy.

Not to mention: Kruger. Not. Ready.

Not ready for 2C but a checking roll would suit him better

But he is no Dave Bolland - and may never be. Once again, a trade proposal that substitutes one hole for another.

The 3C spot can be filled much easier than the 2c hole can you could do MUCH worse than Kruger at 3C

Using the $70.3MM cap, the Hawks have $8.8MM in space. Should they choose to use it, they do NOT need to trade ANYONE to fill the holes they have - if StanBow is smart.

All of the pieces are out there. It would also give them time to season and further vett their rookies and prospects rather than baptizing them all by fire.
