practically, the only way Komi heads out of town is in some type of CAP dump flip-flop...

i) Luongo would be good example, Komisarek and some prospect or similar. (Not that I want Luongo, but kind of a worse of two evils). If there's another goalie CAP dump situation then perhaps the same type of deal could be struck.


ii) Franson should be packaged with a prospect forward to any one of the Islanders, Edmonton, perhaps Calgary or Carolina, where he could flourish. Now I have no idea what could be garned in return... but particularly if Schultz is signed they need to make space.... or simply keep Franson and ship Schenn out if the club feels they can do without the physical aspect of the game. I fear the Schenn deal however, because the moment he goes somewhere where he's going to get consistent minutes without Komi hanging around he'll thrive.

BB definitely has some work to do.... I'm quietly hoping for a day like the day the Phaneuf and Giguere deals were announced. I was speechless that day... I liked the Phaneuf deal... but was absolutely over the moon when I realized what the Leafs "gave up" to get Giguere.... still can't believe that one... and I'm secretly hoping for the same type of deal for Luongo.
