Honestly though, would the ducks franchise even exist if it weren't for the kings? The Gretzky trade and the success of the kings in the early 90s made a lot of people in so-cal hockey fans. I always get rattled when I hear ducks fan talk about how much they hate the Kings when they don't even realize if it weren't for the kings than there wouldnt be an NHL team in Anaheim.
