My Oilers jersey has Maxbone #69 on the back. I'll post a picture one of these days. It was Nephew Tim's Christmas gift to me last year.

According to fans in the other thread, Kane is the second coming, and Yakupov is a question mark. Of course there's always a small possibility that he could end up being a bust, but I think that's an incredibly small possibility... INCREDIBLY SMALL... I'm very confident that Yakupov will be a stud in the NHL, and I can't wait to have him in our lineup

- laughs2907

Kane is a helluva player already and I would ask for a top pick if I were trading him. Problem is do you trade for him knowing he might never be more than a 35 goal scorer? Not that there is anything wrong with that, but Yaks potential is just so much more.

Soon as you said SJ I knew you were right. I remember someone making fun of him for doing that on these boards.

A weak attempt at starting a debate.
Cause There isnt one in this case bud.

Everyone outside of montreal, and id wager even a great deal in, would laugh at this statement.

- hugefemale dog77

Wayne Gretzky put Orr, Robinson, Lidstrom and Coffey all in the same company. I think you are too young to know how great Big Bird was.

Oh I agree, and I'd probably even trade him for our first really... He's big and talented. I really like him... But people are suggesting Yakupov + Marincin + 4th for E. Kane... Come on...

Well if you are willing to do Yak for Kane, Marincin and a 4th isn't exactly a deal breaker.

Kane is a banger who could be a consistent 30g guy. Might even manage a 40g season or two.

Yaks is still an unknown, but he put up Stamkos-level (actually, more than Stamkos) scoring numbers in the OHL. Stamkos this season was a 61g guy.

Compare how many physical 30g guys there is in the league to how many 60 goal guys there are in the league. What the Oilers need to do...is pretty clear and obvious.

Why should we give up Marincin? He's one of our top two defensive prospects. (frank) that noise.

Just listened to Hartley interview, asked about if the Flames need a rebuild, and he said after talking to ownership and management that the word 'rebuild' is not in their vocabulary and they are gonna go for it.... again.

Outstanding!

"Going for it again" means finishing 9th in the west, missing the playoffs, drafting 14th, and signing old players to oversized deals that include NTC's.

Oh I'd much rather keep the pick, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if we dealt it for E. Kane... I'd be somewhat disappointed/worried, but nothing major. The suggestion that we'd have to add Marincin and 4th is what made me laugh.

If it makes you feel better, Melatonin is still our GM and we're getting Sutter, not Suter.

Well I'm not going to get to excited on 60g.

But it's an interesting topic. Do you take a 35-50goal sniper or a 20-40 power forward. Problem with the power forward is he can't stay healthy either.

I think you take which ever guy you have and hope it all works out for you.

I have been saying they should blow it up and rebuild for years now... everyone from Ken King down should be fired... Sadly I think the only thing that'll do it is new ownership.

Fans should revolt.
