Plenty of comments on Twitter today from people at the Combine that the Oilers absolutely will keep the draft pick and take Nail Yakupov.

Everyone can calm down now.

- Maxbone

Everyone should have been calm from the get go.

Kane. Sharp. Hossa. Three star wingers. Worked pretty well for Chicago once (yeah yeah yeah, Sharp dabbles at center here and there. (frank) off).

So what's wrong with having Yakupov, Hall, and Eberle? RNH will be our Toews, now we just gotta find our Keith and Seabrook

69 because when you see him coming, you know you're getting (frank)ed. That doesn't really make any sense, but it sounded good in my head before I had time to think about it.

I'd like for him to be the first player to use a letter/number combo. Love to see E5 on his jersey.

Nedved was czech... Russian's have their own mold to follow! He should take #1 if horcoff will not give up #10... or even 96 is fine...

People are suggesting Yakupov + Marincin + 4th for E. Kane... Call me crazy, but NO THANKS! I'd love to have Kane, but I'm not sure I'd even trade our first for Kane... Yakupov will be that good. Book it.
- laughs2907

I think Kane is a great guy and all, but Yakupov is likely a better talent.

Yakupov could wear #779...that's how many points Bure had during his career.

My Oilers jersey has Maxbone #69 on the back. I'll post a picture one of these days. It was Nephew Tim's Christmas gift to me last year.

According to fans in the other thread, Kane is the second coming, and Yakupov is a question mark. Of course there's always a small possibility that he could end up being a bust, but I think that's an incredibly small possibility... INCREDIBLY SMALL... I'm very confident that Yakupov will be a stud in the NHL, and I can't wait to have him in our lineup
