For all the folks who cry about needing a rebuild...they sure are quick to cry about Schenn and how he's not a top pairing shutdown dman yet.

Definitely a lot of stupid people out there who love to hate on Schenn when they don't even stop to consider who his coach has been for the first four years of his career. Not to mention they've been telling him to get bigger every single year which has slowed him down. They have created a horrible environment for him to succeed.

Statsny would be the top C we could get out of any trading scenario. Big body, good shot, but dishes first. Avs have Duchene and OReilly, which would make a good, 1/2 combo so they do have flexibility to move him to spread around the offense.

Av's also have a lot of holes in their team. Almost no support on the wings, no scoring on the wings, and their top scoring D was Hejda with 5 goals.

In comparison, Toronto had 4 D men score 5 or more goals.

A Statsny trade
Franson, Mac, 5th overall, salary dump (Connolly, Lombo or Armstrong)

Franson adds depth to their D and would automatically become their PP QB.
Mac (and people knock him) would actually have been 4th in scoring on their team, only behind O'Reilly, Statsny and Landeskog
5th overall would help their rebuild
Salary dump more helps Toronto, but Lombo's speed would go well with the youngsters.

I seriously doubt that Burke is in any danger of tampering charges.

Given his past relationship with Anaheim and the fact that they are good trading partners, it would not surprise me to see a trade involving one of our current D to Anaheim.

I doubt Anaheim takes Komisarek, but I could see the Leafs wanting to dump Liles.
