Simply put he knows hockey unlike 90% of the people on here who just rant and vent about how the Leafs should do this and do that while what they're saying has absolutely no reasoning and makes no sense. The idea is when you rebuild you don't sign 2nd pairing veteran dmen and fragile forwards. Burke is a dumb ass. He can make amazing trades but outside of that I don't see anything beneficial from him and his white hair.

I agree. It's perfectly fine to have an opinion about these matters. But when it degrades into belittling others because their opinions don't match your "facts", it just gets old. I give him credit though for hanging in there despite being attacked from all sides.

But he'll still argue we need to rebuild.

I agree with this. What they really wanted post-JFJ was a strong personality, as well as a good hockey mind. They got a very strong personality, that the media eats up, and a pretty decent hockey mind. Once Burke's is gone, we need to bring in a conservative, seasoned vet who will make the hard decisions.

Burke came in to Toronto unwilling to make the hard decisions (rebuild the way the Kings, Ottawa, etc did)

When you need to spend your afternoons in a hockey forum talking down to anyone with an opinion to find that self validation.. It's a bad case of double douche.

Also.. When you pound that I know everything and you're irrelevant attitude to everyone around you, you need to own it when your blatantly wrong, and not just attempt to further convince everyone else that they're useless.
