exactly what I said....only a senile old dolt like cliff fletcher would make a move like that. - Barx
The Panthers traded a 1st at the 2010 draft and got a 2nd for it.
15th for 19th and a 2nd.
Happens very often. |

There were questions about his game to game compete level far before he had mono. Obviously he's going to say all the right things at the draft combine. It's all very well scripted because it's one giant, public job interview.
Must explain why Angelo Esposito fell as hard as he did for being a talented QMJHL player without the heart. Because he was a Canadian. - Unholy_Goalie
The only people questioning his game are media tools and has been failures like Craig Button.....Grigorenko will be just fine. |

again, you assert faksa is a 'safer pick' but have absolutely no reason why....other than he isn't russian.
you also believe teams are eager to move up a couple spots and give away top picks while doing it...again, a ridiculous assumption.
you take the best player-period.
if the leafs believe it's faksa-great...if they thinks it's grigorenko-great.
but as usual, you are arguing for sport without a real point. - Barx
Reasons why include the way he plays which is with a lot of heart. He also played in a better league by playing in the OHL whereas the QMJHL is a lot more wide open and suited to benefit Grigorenko's offensive stats.
Falsa is the better player to pick. He's just as big, plays hard every game, has plenty of talent and proved he could play in North America in a better league. |

This. Fuuck Craig Button and any other has been failure idiots that spew crap on daily basis. If I'm BB, which I'm not, I take the BPA and if that comes down to Grigs then so be it. |

The Leafs. 7th to 5th. Cost them a 2nd and a 3rd rounder.
Somebody else suggested trading 5th for 6th and the rights to Schultz. Also a pretty good idea. - Unholy_Goalie
I realize this is the part you just tuck your tail between your legs and disappear, but I'll be taking this as a sign that even you're aware of how badly you've been dismantle this afternoon.
There could easily be a sportscenter top 10 based on the amount of horrible fails you've made genuine leaf fans suffer through, even top 20. But, the whole liles, Filatov, Grigorenko, lottery episode.. Should easily be top 3.
I'm just hoping someone can capture the vitals in some kind of picture form, so that the rest of us can enjoy it every time you open your blowhard face in the future. Please.
And finally, thank you. Wow.. Just wow, but thank you.

Again, you missed the part where scouts have admitted to not watching much of him. It has nothing to do with what he did or didn't say. He was voted the top rookie of the CHL, and that included the likes of good ol' western Canadian boys etc etc. Clearly those who voted know nothing of him and what he can really do on the ice. |

Not my fault you have trouble understanding basic concepts such as rebuilding and acquiring 22 year old players instead of 30 year old players. |

Its ok to trade draft picks for a player who ends up playing in Russia (praise it after the fact), but its not ok to use your draft pick on a Russian player, who might play in the KHL

Please.. Humour me more on your rebuild expertise abou trading draft picks for kids that are in Russia, while pounding your chest about not drafting a Russian kid.. Because the risk was to big.
