If the Hawks take a cautious approach and others in the Division and Conference do not they are screwed...

I would not take that chance unless Rocky is OK without clearing up his loans for even longer.

Can't rely on spare parts and young prospects to lead to a long playoff run.

My blog's going up in a minute.

If this is a "stay the course" summer, all the wheels will come off, you will see a huge drop in demand (at least) for tickets, merchandise sales and a lot of people loudly calling for Bowman's head.

So far at least, it is shaping up as such. The more time that ticks off the clock, the more pressure there is to pull something out of the hat.

I'm sure at that point there will still be a few Bowman apologists left out there saying it's smart sometimes to not make any big moves. Which is easy excuse to make for a guy who all the time doesn't make any big moves—except shipping off talent for picks.

Jesus, really ? Is that even possible ? Stay the course ? The season tix are very expensive, people will stop going , im 30 and from 97 to 08 it was a ghost town at West Madison street. People will not show up for Hawks games if the product on the ice isnt worth it.
I cant believe its going to be a stay the course summer. This team will be a disappointment if it doesnt reach the WCF next year.

It's hard to accurately judge him from May 1st til now. Nobody is doing much of anything, outside of re-signing their own UFA's to this point. Yeah, Boston traded for Ray Borque's kid, but that didn't move the richter scale much.

My course of judgement ;

1st off season after the cup : Hawks and Stan bow had zero leverage and were required to get under the cap. Didnt acquire much, lost a lot didnt get nuch back in return.

Last off season and trade deadline : Stan Bo and the boys cleared cap space by moving Brouwer and Campbell telling us that the Hawks would have room to deal if needed , the Hawks basically struck out at the trade deadline while the needed help.

This offseason : We'll see , kind of a last chance.
