If the Kings win are Phili fans going to be really upset or happy ? (Richards/Carter)
- mrpaulish

Bill said it perfectly. I want Ron Hextall and John Stevens to get their names on the Cup. The other guys, I won't be jumping for joy or pissed off, either way

Question to you and Hammarby31 who echoed the same...

Would you rather have a cup that you minimally contributed to winning, or none at all?

A serious question.

- dcflyerfan71

Any Cup is better than none at all. Gagne still has had a heck of a career even if he doesn't contribute on the ice to this Kings Cup if they were to win.

I think Brodeur has been leaving some rebounds throughout the playoffs that the Kings can take advantage of in the series. I think it will go 6 or 7 with Kings winning.

Also, wonder if the Flyers are interested in drafting Tomas Hyka. I liked him in the preseason last year. Little small but great skills.

It's interesting that a league charity case makes it to the Stanley Cup finals when it needs to to avoid going under.

I didn't realize how bad the Devils financial situation was before reading this article (http://msn.foxsports.com/...Jeffrey-Vanderbeek-053012).

The league had to advance the devils $10 mill to meet payroll this year and look to be on the verge of becoming the Phoenix Coyotoes (financially). The current playoff run is the only thing keeping them afloat financially.

Makes you wonder what the Devils were thinking when they signed Kovalchuk to that lifetime contract or if they could've beaten the Flyers if they weren't living beyond their means salary wise.

Owing $177 million has to be close to a %100 debt load.

always works out doesn't it...
Small market team needs to win the cup...boom you have the Lightning
A Southern team needs to win...boom the Canes (yes i know you can say the Lightning too)
California hockey needs to win or a West team....boom the Ducks

Just having a little fun with conspiracy theories....

When the Flyers lost to NJ I told my brother that at least it will help the Devils financially to advance in the playoffs. I hate seeing teams leave especially a team with a history like the Devils.

really rooting for the devils.

when richards got traded i said he'll get a cup before the flyers... and as you know he was my favorite flyer and i hope he does win a cup... someday.

not now. not, like, right after all of this. tough to swallow.

the devils seem pretty likable... not dirty, i like parise, etc.

i hope fatso has one more in him and then rides off into the sunset with his sisterwives.

Without Pittsburgh winning the Crosby lottery they would not have survived. I think they drew the ping pong balls behind closed doors.

Crosby and Lemieux saved that franchise, no doubt. I think Mario would've gone bankrupt trying to keep that team in Pittsburgh and still failed if they hadn't gotten Sid.

The Chicago Blackhawks have discussed Patrick Kane's partying this off-season and GM Stan Bowman said the club was "disappointed" with the situation. "We discussed it with Patrick. We've handled that internally," said Bowman. "We're obviously disappointed with how it played out and Patrick is aware of that fact. At this point, it's a private matter. Out of respect for Patrick, we're not going to comment further. We're going to look forward." The 23-year-old forward attended the annual Mifflin Street Block Party at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was photographed in some drunken activities. Thankfully, nothing he did warranted trouble from the police.

That stuff just kills me. If you've got the talent and skills to have a legitimate shot at a pro career, how in the world do you not do everything else to maximize the opportunity?

I'm rooting for the Kings 100%. I can't stomach to see the Devils win another Cup, and three of them they will have gone through the Flyers to do so.

Screw the Devils, their 40 year old goalie, and their defense core that doesn't have anything close to a # 1 or # 2 for that matter.

Teams should be located in markets that can support them - without taxpayer funds. For whatever reason NJ does not support the Devils, regardless of their success.

it just seems crazy how things work out...

Although I know it's a little dillusional...

The NHL needs the Flyers and needs them to be competitive since they draw. If they win the cup the world will end...
