-1 for Carter.

One of these years Elias and Brodeur will suck. Probably when they are in their 60's. So (frank)ing sick of this franchise.

We wouldnt have to watch it if the Flyers would beat them. We have only ourselves to blame.

I remember the Flyers played incredible D during the cup run under Lavi. I don't think it involves the system, unless he completely changed it in 2 years.

Lucky for the Flyers with such names as Couturier, Read, Schenn and Wellwood, the club doesn't have to reach much defense. I do wish they put more good habits into the minds of young players like supporting the D. It's something that I don't feel was ever done with JvR. That's my one real knock on JvR.

Well since I'm not an actual member of the Flyers team, I'm not blaming myself. I didn't really have much to do with it.

It is sickening that the Devils franchise goes through the Flyers like gas through a funnel on the way to Championships though.

Well they got some breaks that year playing teams that werent known for high power offense until they played Chicago, imo.

Devils
Boston
Montreal

Doesn't matter, they still played great D. Flyers hadn't done much of that against anyone this year.

Yeah. 2004, and 2010 Flyers handled them easily. If only they could have parlayed one of them to a Championship.

What was the franchise Gretzky referred to as a "Mickey Mouse operation"?

Point is if the Flyers would beat the Devils you wouldnt have to watch Elias and Brodeur. So instead you now have the opportunity to watch the Devils go for another Stanley Cup.

Thats cause the Flyers try to outscore teams this year and for the most part they did that. Problem is when the playoffs come around you have to play good defense and have good goaltending.

Richards and Carter seem like less exciting players without the Orange and Black on. Has Richards really put up any thundering hits this season?

Could be the game itself. Kind of a boring one.

I was just thinking Bourdon had a pretty good year for a rookie defenseman. He's only 22 was a plus 4 in 45 regular season games and played in over 16 minutes. He had growing pains, but I think he has a real future to eventually play second pairing minutes.

That looked like a clean goal by Parise. He never closed his hand on the puck but rather just pushed it into the net. Nice job.

How could people POSSIBLY boo that call!? That was clear as day...and during the replays you could hear the crowd start to cheer as Parise shovels it into the net
