Let's just agree to disagree. I'll take Dion 100 times out of 100 on my team. I really couldn't care less if you don't like him as a player, but to sit here and try telling me I'm dumb for liking the guy... it's stupid.

Im not telling you that your dumb for liking him, I just dont understand it.

Phaneufs a decent player at the least.

Was just way way overhyped after his first couple seasons in cgy.

I think there was certainly a time when he was overrated, but not anymore. Outside of toronto anyway, i think people generally now know hes quality, but certainly no superstar.
A Little more flash than substance imo, but id still take him on the oil.

I like big hits, big shots and big defenseman. My favorite player of all time is Stevens, and Phaneuf is the closest to him in the NHL at the moment.

My favorite NHL forward for the past however many years is Mike Richards. He reminds me of my favorite NHL forward of all time... Doug Gilmour. Small centers who could dish out hits, were guys who you could usually make a case for as far as the Selke because of their two-way player, guys who were leaders/heart and soul guys, and put up points.

He's about the last guy Id want to walk into the Oilers room... its Hall, RNH, Eberles team. Dont need him to change the music.

This is it. He's not what people thought he could become. Mostly because in Calgary the guy had a lot of space to rack up the PP points.

He's a top pairing guy who can give you 40-50 pts, some big hits, be a decent leader in the room, play in all situations and be alright. He's not the best Dman in the NHL. I just prefer to watch him play than watch... Erik Karlsson or something.

I can't think of another Dman who lays the boom in open-ice like Stevens with as much regularity and similarity as Dion. A lot of physical Dmen these days just hit a different way now.

Yakupov is a (frank)ing stud.

Honestly. Who comes to the the combine dressed like that?

What a beast. Glad the Oilers are picking first. They should take him no questions asked. (frank) being good, I'd rather have a team of cool ass, boss mother (frank)ers anyway.

Like I said, I watch him way more than I'd like... and those Stevens hits come like once every 2 weeks.

When Stevens was around... they came once every 3-4 games. Part of this is because a guy has to be dumb enough to skate into the trolley tracks while you're around.

His interview after winning Gold at the WJ is legendary.

A freak knee accident vs. a 5'10 Russian going Kamikaze every shift and getting his head rattled. (2nd concussion in two years)

There are legitimate concerns about Yakupov's style of play, especially when he's not 6'4 and 230 lbs.

He's like an inch or 2 shorter than Hall, but I've heard he's thicker than Hall was.

I highly doubt nail will be as dominate as stamkos no matter who is on his team

stamkos has the most lethal wrist shot on the league, st Louis doesn't give him that

Also stamkos supporting cast isn't nearly as great this year as I think the oils can provide yuk in 2 years

Stamkos with a good defense here he can have the puck more could score 60.
