Like I said, it's possible to win without. A good goalie can cover up everything.
But the Centers hold the most responsibility offensively AND defensively. In the playoffs where it becomes about shutting the other teams down, I'd prefer my best players to be centers. - Brian Huddle
RNH = almighty lord of centers.

Columbus selecting Forsberg at #2 would follow along with all of the other draft success stories the Blue Jackets have become known for. - Lohaus
I said in Vetter's thread, if there is any sort of truth to Davidson leaving STL that CBJ should be throwing everything and anything at him. |

I always laugh when he dogs other GMs for bad drafts and then mentions how he picked Nash.
...because making that selection was oh so difficult.
All their top 8 picks over the last decade. Hard to imagine that they still suck.
Year/pick overall/player
2000 4 Rostislav Klesla
2001 8 Pascal Leclaire
2002 1* Rick Nash
2003 4 Nikolay Zherdev
2004 8 Alexandre Picard
2005 6 Gilbert Brule
2006 6 Derick Brassard
2007 7 Jakub Voracek
2008 6 Nikita Filatov |

He and Milbury piss me off when they talk about any other Gm making a horrible move. Really you guys are going to call out GM's for making a minor deal after all the crap you did? |

A bit? You sound like you're at your computer drinking a redbull wearing a Tapout Tshirt. Not funny or interesting at all. |

“I’m pretty sure if he (Gally) doesn’t get hurt, we’re having that discussion of whether he goes No. 1,” said Mark Seidel, the chief scout for North American Central Scouting. “For me, it’s the injuries. Talent-wise, he’s up there with Yakupov.”
“I think he will develop into a superior player than Yakupov,” one league scout said.

Probably a stained wife beater, because you can buy a new one for 3 bucks or a buck at value village. |

Sounds like 2010 all over again. Yakupov is the better player now, but Gally is the better prospect long term. |

Oilers would be silly not to draft Yakupov though. Galchenyuk may develop into a more complete player but Yakupov will be a game changer. |
