Huddle just accept that we're right and you're wrong. Nail Yakupov is the greatest. he can divide by zero.

In other news, I bought my wife one of those fancy T-Fal deep fryers that only uses like a tablespoon of oil and she made donuts with it. They were delicious.

Not like NJ has the best of centers.
- Lahey

Elias is a PPG guy, and then they have Zajac and Henrique. That's a solid trio.

Elias isn't even a center in the first place and 6 points in 18 games isn't a PPG

Yes he is...

And he had 78 in 81 this season. Close enough to PPG. Hasn't been great int he playoffs, but others have stepped up in Zajac and Henrique.

damn, I want one. I make fries in the oven, and it's just not the same. Still delicious, but its damned near impossible to get them crispy without also getting a bunch of them burnt.

Natural winger that gets forced into a center role, although this year he did well.

I still don't think it's the greatest set of centers. 30 points in 54 games is nothing special. I have to think we could get that out of our 3 centers.

They're also playing in the weak East.

It's more of a rarity to see that, though, is my point. Almost every Cup Winner of past 5-10 years has been deep down the middle.

Boston had Krejci-Bergeron-Kelly-Campbell
Chicago had Toews-Sharp(was a C that year)-Bolland
Pittsburgh had Crosby-Malkin-Staal
Red Wings had Datsyuk-Zetterberg(A C that year as well)-Fippula-Helm
Anaheim had MacDonald-Getzlaf-Pahlsson
Carolina had Brindamour, Staal, Weight and Adams, not to mention Cullen that year too.
TBL had Vinny-Richards-Taylor (a good vet checking C at time)
2003 Devils had Neiuwy-Elias-Madden
2002 Wings had Yzerman-Federov and then Larionov/Datsyuk/Draper.
2001 Avs had Sakic-Forsberg-Drury

It's a pattern.

We got there with Horcoff-Stoll-Peca. Sure it's nice to have the centers, but if you have an elite goalie or elite defense or just all around depth you can get there too. We didn't lose because of our centers, we lost because we took out our own goalie.

Like I said, it's possible to win without. A good goalie can cover up everything.

But the Centers hold the most responsibility offensively AND defensively. In the playoffs where it becomes about shutting the other teams down, I'd prefer my best players to be centers.

Columbus selecting Forsberg at #2 would follow along with all of the other draft success stories the Blue Jackets have become known for.
