Please re-read my post.

I said I'd like Frenchie to chime in.

- Atomic Wedgie

He had a "breakthrough" year. Before this he was a fourth liner in Russia and Finland, he rose to the second line this season and had a decent year. I think it's more of "They want me" than him finally honoring NA with his presence...Marlies 2013!

So would you say he's like a Jari Kurri, or more like a Mogilny?

Yeah, Marlies. Even if the guy is good, the North American game is soooo different.

Well one thing I know is that there will be quite the turnover in the organization, they have to shed 7 to 8 contracts currently on the roster to make the 50 mark, mostly on the Marlies.

Oh, and if Uggie comes on here to defend his favourite new Leaf, let me just add that it is much more likely for a 25 year old player to have a worse year (statistically) next year than a better one.

I think you guys are really misunderestimating* his trash-talking abilities.

He speaks four languages, you know...

*Yeah, don't. Just don't.

- Atomic Wedgie

wow, even to become an NHL agitator, you have to be incredibly educated. Good lesson for all those kids out there!

I have negative faith in Komarov. Why you ask? His "highlight reel".

Wasn't Rickard Wallin the captain of his team before coming to the leafs with Monster.....

Just seems like any of these players who are moderately successful in these elite leagues generally are terrible when they come to the NHL.

Easy to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond

I hope he can be a useful player but I have my reservations. Expecting our grit and sandpaper to come from a European........ I dunno

I see him taking Armstrongs role/spot if they have a plan to move Colby out somehow.

Reimer vs. Lundqvist........stop it already.
- Barx

Oh for gawd sakes.
I'm not saying the leafs would have won.....we all know Reimer sucks.

Decent speed, not super fast but fast enough. He's a douche and takes stupid moronic penalties, backs down from fights and chirps everything that moves in 7 languages. Kind of like Max Lapierre but a fudge ton worse.

I don't know how you got that from "4th line agitator (rat) who is cheaper and better than Armstrong" but all the power to you.

Contract terms on Leafs' Leo Komarov: entry level deal, one year, $1.2-million cap hit. $350,000 of that is bonuses.
- LeafMan

BOOOO. More money wasted on 4th line garbage.

If he's fast then I think he'll work out. A 4th line of Brown-Steckel-Koramov isn't dominant but sounds like they will forecheck like a mother.

Except that Steckel is slow. Two out of three ain't bad.

Also expect George Parros to get signed. It's pretty much a lock.

Maybe I'm doing this wrong, but it doesn't look like that's too great a concern:

http://capgeek.com/depth_charts.php?team_id=4

Right off the bat, you can drop Rosehill, Mueller, Hamilton, Dupuis, maybe Zigomanis, Crabb, Greenop, Finger (!), Gysbers, Lashoff, Fraser (never heard of him).

That'll get you started.

And don't forget all the trade proposals we have seen so far for Staal, Getzlaf or Nash all involve Toronto packaging 6 mediocre players for one superstar - that will definitely blow up the log jam.
