Leafs sign Leo Komarov to 1 year deal. 4th line potential. Described as "Kaleta-like". Shift disturber.- Dreger - jbold
Great news.. hopefully we dump Lombardi/Army. This guy will likely fill the same role at a much cheaper price! Glad we can agree that Dreger's opinion is good! This is cool! |

Hockey news = more valuable than your opinion... In my opinion, which in my opinion is also more valuable than your opinion.. in my opinion! haha - steve362
that's not even hockey news that puts together the depth chart, it's some content manager that a bunch of these sites can subscribe to, called forecaster.
edit: from hockeybuzz's avs blogger:
Age: 21
Career stats: 236 games played, 39 goals, 68 assists, 107 points
Best Year: 2011-12 (18 goals, 37 assists, 55 points)
O'Reilly was picked with the 33rd overall selection in the 2009 draft and pegged to be the third line center of the future. For O'Reilly, that future was the 2009-10 season.
Originally knocked for a lack of speed, O'Reilly astounded everyone by making the Avs in his first year. Now, three years later, he has just recorded his best statistical year.
The question when paying O'Reilly is whether the Avs think he's a top six forward playing on the third line or a third liner playing where he is supposed to. On most teams, O'Reilly could vie for second line center duty but on the Avs, with Paul Stastny and Matt Duchene, O'Reilly is a third line center. |

I assume that the creators of this popular hockey website know more about hockey than I do and I value their opinions. So yes.. on this matter I'll agree with them; Great that you think it's cool too! I knew you'd agree with me - steve362
Assume nothing. Steve Simmons is a hockey journalist and he knows sweet (frank) all about the game. See also Craig Button and Mike Milbury as GMs. |

Why so much hate ? Let's hug it out!
And yes I would love to have Duchene on my team! After the year he has had I think we could target him! First we're agreeing that the site means nothing...unless it proves your point - then it's valuable... Let's just hug it out and be friends! |

What do you think would do it? I'd rather Duchene than J. Stall. Both are currently third on the respective teams depth charts. Duchene is behind O'Rielley and Statsny and Stall obviously behind Crosby and Malkin. Those are the two people we should be targeting. - steve362
It'll take you way more to land Duchene than it would Stall....
Hell, I'd argue he's probably worth more than Nash. |

Who would you rather have on your team?
Nash or Duchene?

id take staal over the other 2. he could do for the leafs what dustin brown has done for the kings imo (if the leafs made the playoffs), even though he may not put up as many points as nash or duchene. |

It's all relative... because of age and where the Leafs are in their development I'd pick Duchene... If we were contending for a cup I'd pick Nash... think of it this way... Who would you pick first on the Olympic team! |

Jordan staal would be the best option - if it were possible |
