How is it that you completely and totally ignore the question and miss the idea by a country mile?

Whether the Kings win the Cup or not, it doesn't really put a dent into the usual trend of which teams have the best chance to win the Stanley Cup.

A 6th, 7th or 8th seed team has never won the Cup. Only one has done it from 5th; the New Jersey Devils. If it happens once, how does that support the idea that you have good odds at winning the Cup if you finish in 8th?

And that doesn't even begin to go in-depth and analyzing the type of team that the Kings have or the fact that they were 8th in the West, not the East.

I must confess that I've never actually seen the movie from start to finish, but I've probably seen about 75% of it in bits and pieces.

But does Gordon Bombay really go driving drunk? Seems like an odd thing to put in a kids' movie.

Well now that's a lie. You've said you liked that movie on more than one occasion.

Goalies are also a product of their environments. Teams with good defense first systems make mediocre goalies seem great.

Stop trying to use statistics to make your arguments.
Last year, who would've thought (based on stats) that Elliott and Mike Smith were "top goalies"? No one. But according to their stats, they are top goalies.

Calgary has always employed a strong defensive system. They sometimes get caught in run and gun situations, but the Sutters and even Kennan to some degree showed a good d team mentality.

Vancouver on the other hand has always been an offense first team. Use your speed on the breakout and catch teams that don't set up quickly on the transition.

You want to see something funny? Check out the game log for Schneider this year. He mainly played against weaker opponents, and when he did play against top opponents, he got beat. Yup, future of the Nucks and obviously worse than Luongo. A backup who's played great against bad teams, and average against good ones. But those stats are awesome.

Either way, this city is booming with the road work/ and sewage repairs this time of year. I just presume he's OTing the (frank) outta it, or on vacation. which I doubt.
