Well I think it's hard to forge yourself an opinion without seeing the guy really play.

Reading into stats/reports, gives you a good idea, but it's not as good as seeing it live.

That's fine, but watching one or two games when they show up at your "home" Arena doesn't constitute a higher opinion then someone else, and it doesn't make one a "scout"

Well I'm certainly not in the god's secrets, but I think he watches more than that. And a lot of OHL games are televised, much more than the 'Q. You can also 'buy' games on demand for the CHL.

While it's not as good as seeing them play live, it's still better than reading stuff on internet.

No he didn't say that. He said that he, Leroux, usually knows who the next team will pick, so he was usually passing the word to Timmins, but with the Gauthier regime, he couldn't even have a chat with Trevor, because it was so secretive.
