Yes, the financial crisis was the people's fault.
- _nay_

Greece was in horrible financial position to face the financial crisis, tons of social programs that they couldn't sustain economically, huge government work force, debt out of control; they were living above their means for MANY years.

Hey guys, anyone knows where I could find coffee cups in glass?

I know there are some at Linen Chest but I don't feel like melting a gold ingot to buy a few cups...

And they didn't receive half of what they should have in taxes. You can't have super duper social programs and no revenues to finance them.

Are you suggesting you are not happy if the Habs get Bob Hartley....... and half of Marian Hossa's head?
- Scabeh

The population does their fair part. Couldn't say the same about the corporations, for whom the taxes keep lowering for some reason.

And most of their economy is based on tourism, just like Spain, Italia, Portugal.

See the trend?

Hi,

it's so they stay here and give people jobs so these people can pay taxes.

all those countries had cheap currencies that encouraged tourism. Now nobody can afford to go there so they go to turkey instead.

it's pretty simple.

Ideally he would name him before July 1st, so when we try to sign players, they know who the coach will be.
- QuebecPride

Maybe they name him afterwards, for fear it might keep players away.

Side note: I don't expect the Habs to do much this year with free agents, other than perhaps manage their own.

Just like we overpaid for Cole?
- QuebecPride

Cole was a high risk. Not many teams offered him a contract, knowing how he sucked in Edmonton.

Hopefully Bergevin will find us more surprise like Cole this summer.

Well if they really wanted to be here, they would stay. I'm not saying tax them to the limit, but the rates right now are ridiculous. Stop handing share options left and right to everyone, and maybe you'll be able to pay taxes.
