Yes the protesters started the fuzz on a few occasions, but so did the police. In the past week, the manifestation have been peaceful, but it didn't stop the police from charging in.
I don't know if you can read french, but have you read the interview from a policeman to the JdeM? It's probably a fake source, but the policeman in the article says that for them, it's their favourite moment when they can charge and smash students, they wait for that all night long, «C'est leur Bonbon» - QuebecPride
poop, arresting entitled narcissists would be my favorite part too. |

I can read French but I don't read JdeM. But a lot of fake stories have come out about the Police, like they've killed a protester and and beat a pregnant woman causing a miscarage. - mr.peanut

If they cause problem yes, if not then there is no problem.
Everyone always says it is just a handful that cause the problems, if so why would it be hard for the people who registered for your demonstration to prevent those hooligans from starting poop?
There are ways to hold peacful protests without poop burning, it's the faceless mob mentality that is the problem.
If you want setup a boundary around your protest, anyone inside this boundary is under your responisbility outside of it who cares.
You don't want to get fined try hiring security for your protest.
What the (frank) ever, do what you have to.
The point is to put a face on the mob, make someone responsible.
If it lowers the frequency of protests big (frank)ing deal. You don't need to protest every time someone hikes a fee.
If you are really passionate about an issue you will find a way to do it without causing riots. - Oilhab
Well there are enough cameras in the downtown core i am sure to pick out the trouble makers from the honest protestors, anyone wearing a mask or having a backpack gets picked out of the crowd and searched. Or make it illegal during said protests for one to have either. I mean if you really must take this route. I certainly don't agree with the students, or their cause at all, but they have the (frank)ing right to protest as they see fit. Now these protests IMO have gone way too far, and have obstructed people from doing their day to day activities ( ie commute to work etc), and that and the damage to public property is exactly the point where they went too far.
At some point the Government was forced to do something to stop all this, and i have not read much about the bill/law they are trying to put forth, i have seen a few things about it on here, but still it seems very much like they are trying to enforce a police state in regarding the said protests, and i am not sure this is the answer they are looking for, and i am not so sure this wont make poop much worse in end than had they just went about it in a different manner. There has to be a middle ground here, and the registry thing is about as useful as the gun registry, how many people you think that are going to show up and cause poop are going to sign that registry? About the same amount of criminals that are going to register their illegal guns i presume. |

I saw the story on that, it turned out the people 'just sitting there' were not as innocent as they said they were. - mr.peanut
I never believed so, but is that a reason to kick everything around and break private propertys when everyone, even the owner, is gone? Is that a reason a to pepper spray the owner? Because he wore a red square that day, he got pepper sprayed. Gives you an idea how they think, who they target.
You can't get in private property without a mandat, signed by a judge. They overpassed that rule. I thought we were in a civilized nation. |

I can understand, still it shouldn't be that way. They have been way too violent for what the student did so far.

Meh. This poop has gone on too long. I have gotten to the point that when I see an article in the paper in the morning, I get morbidly curious to see how many were arrested, or if someone was beaten into a coma, etc.
Eventually they will just accept the fact that they can't drink $14 lattes anymore because they are going to pay more (and still less than average) for post secondary education, and move on with their lives. |

I was talking about the 1st video. The 2nd video is just a disgrace, they did that after the manifestation passed, to put the blame on the students. |

What I expect is that they cancel the new increase, and stick to the old one (100$ per year), and start elections in october. |
