For forwards...the 3rd overall pick this year is VERY important, they need a bluechip prospect badly. so far, they will have Gallagher, Bournival and some potential 4th line players (Holland) in Hamilton
- Symba007

Kristo, Leblanc, Pribyl, Quailer, Walsh and MacMillan are interesting prospects too.

Eller has never even cracked 30 points. he scored 16 goals, 4 of which came in 1 game. the fact that Getlaf only has one year left really doesn't bring his value down that much. he's a 27-year-old first-line centre coming off a mediocre season. we've been looking for a Ryan Getzlaf for 20 years. he would cost more than Lars Eller.
- DoubleDown

Does Bourque + (Eller/Schultz) and a 2nd replace RH2 ?

He only has 1 year left on his contract and only scored 57 points (11g), Adam. They would be lucky to get Eller for him, Adam.

In the end, Halak + Ryder and a 2nd WAS a good package

A low risk signing could be Bryan Allen.
- Dgrdnr

I don't disagree. I wish he was right-handed. We are left-heavy.

Oh.

Eller -5
Getzlaf -11

They'd have to throw Perry and his -7 in. We lose the trade, getting a -12 for a -11, but still, I feel altruistic today.

I was surprised, didn't expect that from him, I was one of those who questioned his capacity to stay in the NHL and produce. He proved my wrong big time.
- Symba007

Same for me, I didn't think he was fast enough for the NHL to be able to produce, and I thought he was too small for a checking role. He improved his footspeed a lot last summer. And he has a really good vision.

Kristo and Pribyl won't play for the Bulldogs next season. For the other NCAA prospects, I wonder if there is a deadline for making that kind of decision...I remember that Pacioretty decided to leave Michigan after attending a development camp with the Habs...

Oops. *gulp* Rick is right.

My math is wrong. For the trade to be fair, we should throw Kaberle and his -6 into the mix.

Eller (-5) + Kaberle (-6) for Getzlaf (-11)

You won't get a trade any fairer than that.

That would get expensive at Chez Rick. Everytime the broadcast crew said the coach's name, Mrs. Rick would eat the TV.

Pribyl will be at the camp. Jodoin seems to expect him in Hamilton this year.

Quailer will make the jump, at least everything points towards it. He dropped the 'A' for his team. Was celebrated as a grading student at the last game of his team this year. The Huskies fans believe he's gone too.
