I could be wrong, but I believe you've missed the point. - mcmanmat
Funny how I thought the same about you...
Were we so wrong in our post-Tremblay assessment? Why would my friend automatically be wrong with his? And if bad mouthing former coaches is so rampant, why has he not said anything bad about Crawford or the other coaches (even the less than stellar ones) that have come and gone.
He had some real choice words to say about Hartley, that's all I said...and none of what he said makes me want to have that guy as a coach. |

right, Martin was awful. led us to the best back-to-back season performances in the last 20 years, and the team's record when he was fired was mediocre and after he was fired it was abysmal.

I know some people who bought their tickets back in november.
E-thugs. They are probably afraid of their own shadows in real life.
They are targeting the wrong people. Idiots. |

Ok, I was wrong. This post has now taken the place of the previous post, insofar as being the dumbest ever.
Please note that based on what I am observing, this could be an ever-changing list. |

i think Hal Gill's point about him not having the right personnel to play his particular "chip" system was pretty bang on. and obviously Martin isn't my first choice. just not sure about Hartley. then again, recycled coaches seem to be en vogue. all 4 conference final coaches had been fired within the last few years. point was more that i think Martin did an admirable job with what he had to work with. |

List of Habs' Problems (in order) over the past few years:
1- Terrible Management team that put together an abomination of a roster that was not suited to play either a defensive nor an offensive type of game.
2- A bunch of other poop.
3- Jacques Martin |

Jacques Martin was quite possibly the only person in that entire organization who had an inkling of what he was doing. |
