I'd take Carbo back in a heartbeat.

If he had coached in the Q/AHL/ECHL/Swiss league in the past few years, maybe. But right now, nothing suggests he's a better coach than when he got fired.

Well, that too. Or he should have done like Kirk Muller and accept an asst. coach position for a few years. Staying at home doing (frank)all, saying "coaching in the Q is not for me" and bullpoopting on L'Antichambre waiting for an NHL team to offer you a head coach position isn't really winner in my book. He has potential to be a good coach, but he did nothing to hone his skills and address his weaknesses since Gainey fired him.

Except losing in the 1st round in Chicoutimi.

I worked as an IT guy 10 years ago...doesn't mean I'm up to speed with today's poop. Hartley won his cup in 2000 with a stacked team, doesn't mean he can coach today...

I have a friend (no, really...I do!) who's a die hard Avs fan and has nothing but bad things to say about Hartely...I'm looking forward to his hiring.

Even Crawford looked good with Sakic, Roy, Footsberg and the all-star team.

Yes, Rick. That is what people have been saying to you for months. Gratz. Now that you can repeat it, try putting it into practice.

Shocking that a hockey fan has bad things to say about a former coach. I mean, we speak so fondly of guys like Mario Tremblay around here.

But still, I wouldn't mind him as an assistant coach. He has been good with Lemaire.

Do we say bad things about Demers? Bowman? or any coach that's won a cup (other than Perron)?
